UF has to fire Muschamp now right?

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

Good post. Tough decision, but I think he gets another year.

He just might get another year. The issue with WM is that he can't recruit the great offensive players that they are accustomed to down in Gainesville. They could have beastly defenses every year and win a ton of games. However, the Gators are known for their offense and I don't know how that will fly down there.

I've figured for Florida chalking this year up to injuries and allowing Muschamp to survive and just please the boosters by firing Pease. Losing to an FCS team changes the equation entirely. I'm thinking he's gone.

Perhaps Muschamp inadvertently "processed" himself. Remember this? "Well, I can switch and go to Atlanta if he doesn't want to go to Atlanta and play the Dawgs," Muschamp said Monday. "Be careful what you ask for, Nick."

No one talks disrespectfully or even sarcastically to CNS and gets away with it.

I think Muschamp is gone and he may not make it to Monday. Their one remaining game is a no-hoper no matter who steers, and there are certain tactical advantages in being the first onto the Coaching Carousel. I would hazard that our Coach Smart is safe for now, I doubt they will be looking for another defense-first coach.

I think he does too, Gray....mostly because of the injuries we suffered this year makes the decision to fire the head coach very difficult.

That doesn't mean the entire coaching staff gets a pass. Some heads will still roll, I think.

I feel bad for the players more than anything.....they deserved more this season, in spite of the injury situation.

I can't even go on my Gator forum right now.....way too much chaos that I don't want to be part of.

Thanks for the caring posts and for being my second family....it means a lot!

I think he goes after their last game. As it won't be a bowl game they'll still be first on the coaching carousel. I think he just has to go. To the point about Fla. winning with defense and it not flying down there, I think it's a good point. I wondered when Price was coming here what it would be like if Bama had a fancy offense....seems like Bama fans like to win with defense. Offense is nice, but hang your hat on the D

If you can run for 400 yds, you probably don't need to pass. I am kinda surprised they did that against the lizards, but...
