Tide in Oxford, I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about. But to me, this season is a direct reflection on the Ole Miss culture.

Most Ole Miss fans I know have that air of superiority about them, as if they should be given things they don't earn. This years team is a direct reflection of that. They take a SEC coaching castoff in Nutt and a Pac-10 castoff in Masoli and expect them to be a 10 win, top 15 team. They just don't understand that this is what shortcuts get you.

I don't know what it will take to change that culture, but it's been like that for as long as I can remember.

Sounds 'bout right to me!

I think this is less a symptom of Ole Miss culture than it is of Houston Nutt and his inability to effectively coach.

Of course I guess the hiring of Houston Nutt and everything behind it is a symptom of Ole Miss culture...so I'll concede the point.

The best part of this game was it showed how fast and athlethic the defense is in the SEC. Masoli QB of the team that won the Pac-10 last year and went to the BCS bowl learned even Vandy plays better defense then any team in the Pac-10.

1. Houston was a no-show for his TV replay show after the Jax State upset loss. I wonder if he will show up this week, or if that girl will replace him again?

Agree on the coaching issues. Let us all remember who their new OC is: Dave Rader. No further comment needed. And who their not-new DC is: Tyrone Nix, whose D has regressed year to year everywhere he's been.

So, basically, Nutt whiffed mightily on both hires imo, and is now paying the price. This season's on those two, and thus on Nutt.

I'll continue to be in the _extreme_ minority here in TF & say I hate it for them. (probably a minority of one! ;) ) Mostly because of constant exposure to all three MS schools' fanbases; the Reb fans around me are BY FAR the best of the three. It's not even close. I fully realize others here take great delight in the Rebs' troubles; knock yourselves out!

Roll Tide!

My guess is he's crying in the bathroom with the door locked. I wouldn't be surprised to see a total meltdown the rest of the season from their team (if they haven't already).
