We Need to Make Tebow Pass to Beat Us

I think it is crucial for us to stop their running game. I hope that we jam the line of scrimmage and force them to the inside. We have got to get them into quite alot of 3rd and 6 or more situations. If so i think we can force some mistakes.
I hope our D comes out pumped up. We have got to keep Tebow from being able to run for 1st downs on 3rd and 2or3.

I know that puts alot of pressure on our Dbacks but i feel if we can disrupt their ability to run the ball consistently we can get them off of their game and really take advantage.

I know Tebow is capable of throwing the ball well but i would rather take my chances with him passing than letting them grind the ball down the field all day which is what i think they are going to try to do.

Anyway i cant stop thinking about the game so i had to write down some of my thoughts :).

We just need him to not throw as well as last year and we will be ok.
 
i really dont think it wise to force tebow to pass. he is an excellent passer. he has big receivers that get open. we need to slow the run down, and on passing downs, at the least put pressure on him to get rid of the ball. he has that side arm motion, and like others said, we need to cover well. turnovers, and special teams may be the key in this game.

I agree. I think/hope we have improved in that area but yes that is going to be huge as we will be one on one with them much of the time. Which brings up another point. Our D line has GOT to put pressure on Tebow tomorrow. I am very concerned about our ability to pressure him with a 4 man rush. We need Dareus especially to have a huge game tomorrow.
 
Interesting thread title... You want Tebow to beat us by passing the ball? I dont want him to beat us at all.
 
I think if we force UF into passing the ball and pressure him like Arky did we win. When he gets hurried and hit he gets a little rattled and if we can get in his head we've won.

Two words...Louis Murphy. He's playing on Sunday right now; I'm not sure any of Tebow's current targets will be. You shut down his running, you can beat Florida. If you do not, you will not. It's not rocket science; look at their rushing attack; it's ranked 6th in the country, and that is because of Tebow. They are ranked 64th in passing; I think I will take that matchup against our 5th ranked pass defense any day of the week.
Hogs did it and should have won; so did the who's, under questionable circumstances (concussion), and had a good chance to win.
I have said it before: if Tebow rushes for 100 yds or more, Bama won't win. If he rushes for more than 50, it will be a tough, close game. He rushes for less than 50, bama wins, and wins big (my prediction).

I think Cody, silently behind the scenes, will have a great day and will stop Florida's dive play. Hope this will be enough to throw Florida's running game out of synch.

I think Cody indirectly has a great day. He'll be tied up with the twins.....freeing up Ro, Reamer, Anders to fill the holes made due to the Cody Double Team.......

I miss Dont'a........he's the missing link right now........

We persevere........and win by 10!!
 
If Cody can get a good push and create a "bubble" in the gators backfield its gonna give them trouble. If he can do it most of the game...watch out Tebow.Besides taking up two linemen,he has the ability to shorten the pocket with a good push.That small pocket can hurt Florida's misdirection runs and that delayed pitch/pass to Hernandez.I hope Cody has good day.:BigA:
 
We have to watch that shovel pass.

They have been doing it a lot more lately and it sure keeps the LBs guessing. You can bet they will try it to #81Aaron Hernandez and to Demps/Rainey and keep it up until we prove we can sniff it out.
