Fellas I watched the BSU VT game, very exciting but BSU will be undefeated in Jan. Do you guys think they pass a one loss BCS school? They have a breeze after the month of Sept.:BigA:
If you're a person who uses logic and reason when making decisions, it is very easy to leave them out of the conversation.Depends on who it is. Their schedule is embarrassingly bad, but they keep beating the "big boys" every time they play them. It will be hard to keep them out of the conversation.
"T-Mobile" has got to be one of the worst decision makers in college football. He runs when he should throw and throws when he needs to run. I saw him keep his feet in the pocket all of about one time.I think a lot depends on how VT does the rest of the season. If "The Hokies" get blown out of the water a couple of times this year , that tells me a lot.
I totally agree. TT is not the guy a team needs when it is coming down to crunch time. Now, BSU, with about two minutes left, did everything right with their clock-stopping maneuvers, and went down to score. VT just didn't have that quality and I knew they had no chance to come from behind. Great coaching on BSU's part, not so much on VT."T-Mobile" has got to be one of the worst decision makers in college football. He runs when he should throw and throws when he needs to run. I saw him keep his feet in the pocket all of about one time.

This.Until Boise State plays at least three or four ranked teams a year, they DON'T deserve to be in any discussion other than the discussion of which bowl they'll be in outside of the BCSNCG.
I thought BSU looked very good. Their defense may not be able to stop an good SEC offense every week, but with the senior leadership on the team this year, a team like VTech has to win the game, not expect BSU to make too many mistakes. I think a one loss Tide that wins the SEC would play in the title game before BSU.This.
And IMHO neither team looked all that great tonight. They both have suspect defenses.
As they or any other SEC team should.I think a one loss Tide that wins the SEC would play in the title game before BSU.
Agree to disagree I suppose.I thought BSU looked very good. Unfortunately yes. See below.Fellas I watched the BSU VT game, very exciting but BSU will be undefeated in Jan. Do you guys think they pass a one loss BCS school? They have a breeze after the month of Sept.:BigA:
Agree. Trouble is, the end game desired by pollsters and sports writers isn't the same as ours. Their target: playoffs. More things to write about; which is what puts beans on their tables. Best way to sway opinions in favor of a playoff is for a BSU to bump a "traditional power" out of the BCSCG. This is before we even consider the political rumblings re Congressional involvement in CFB. IMO so long as BSU takes care of business, write 'em in for one of the berths in the BCSCG. Not fair, so far as the cushy road they have vs. the road the power schools have... but that's where I think we are.If you're a person who uses logic and reason when making decisions, it is very easy to leave them out of the conversation.
Agree. It's now in our best interests if VaTech drops 4 or 5 games during the season. (Means I'll have to be pulling for VaTech's opponent the rest of the year, which pains me.) OTOH, if VaTech goes on to win the ACC, that'll be all the "proof" the media needs that BSU is one of the best two teams in the country and deserves to be in the BCSCG.I think a lot depends on how VT does the rest of the season. If "The Hokies" get blown out of the water a couple of times this year , that tells me a lot.
Hope you're right. I don't see it happening ,though.Oregon State will beat Boise in two weeks. The END!
BSU is a very good team. Maybe a great one. Same for Alabama. And Ohio State. And... um... Nebraska and Texas and Oklahoma and Florida etc. etc. I'm just annoyed that whereas they might be one of the top two teams in the nation, they don't have to prove it by beating tough competition during the course of the season.I thought BSU looked very good. Their defense may not be able to stop an good SEC offense every week, but with the senior leadership on the team this year, a team like VTech has to win the game, not expect BSU to make too many mistakes. I think a one loss Tide that wins the SEC would play in the title game before BSU.
