Here ya go @oskie -

Thank you Bazza.

The Gilded Palace of Sin is very much a seminal album.

It's what the Byrds couldn't -- or wouldn't -- do. So hence, the FBB came into being.

In my opinion, this album is every bit as groundbreaking as Sweetheart of the Rodeo was.

And full of great songs - Sin City, being one of my favorites.

Thanks again. :)

Further, if one can make it through this entire song with out wanting to move any part of your body, you lack a soul.

:ROFLMAO:

But seriously, this song is amazing, and the guitar solo is blistering...

Fabulous album, along with Amorica. After that very much hit or miss, especially after Marc Ford was out.

Marc Ford made that band really sing. If you've not heard his newer stuff, you have to check out The Magpie Salute's first album (self-titled, recorded live in-studio). It's stunning.

That said, I got to meet and hang with Jeff Cease a bit recently backstage at a show. Super nice guy, plays with Eric Church now. Their first two albums play a huge roll into why I've worked in the industry for the quarter-century-plus...

I'm familiar with Neptune Blues Club which I love but haven't taken time to check out Magpie Salute. Appreciate the heads up and will give it a listen. And Jeff Cease fit that first album really well but the band matured and was a lot more diverse with Ford. It's a shame drugs got in the way.
