I've had an Americana/Red Dirt Country/Roots Rock interest for some time. Turnpike Troubadours has a song that gets to me, On The Red River, remembering my Dad and his hard work and sacrifice for our family.

Robert Earl Keen is a favorite of mine, and in his advancing years, he's limited his performing. Turnpike covered one of his best, Feeling Good Again, with Sierra Hull. As a complement to the original theme of returning to a favorite neighborhood bar after being away for a long time - which is enough for me to love - the Turnpike version focuses on working to return to form.
