I have to say that He was a very good defensive head coach. I just wished he worked on the offense more.

I was quite frustrated by Stallings during his time at Alabama, but in retrospect it mainly had to do with my being spoiled. It is easy to say that his offense could have done more, but over time I have grown to appreciate the ball control approach and what it intends to do.

Wearing a team down, limiting the time that the other team has the ball, etc... are a major part of how both Stallings and Saban approach the game. A lot of it isn't that they can't score more, it's that it doesn't fit into what they're trying to do.
