What Is Your Favorite Alabama Moment or Play?

Coach Bryant coming home to "Mama."

I actually became a Coach Bryant fan when he was at Kentucky and I read about him "rassling that bear." I couldn't believe that a boy, not much older than I was at the time would wrestle a dang bear. :eek2: It really made an impression on me.

Coach Drew was our coach at the time and I liked him just fine, but then came the Whitworth years. Believe me, it was hard to be a Bama fan during those years. I couldn't believe it when the announcement was made that Coach Bryant coming home was for real and not just a rumor any more. :BigA::BigA::BigA:

The Langham interception in the 1st SEC Title game. That was the loudest I ever heard Legion Field. I just bought he Daniel Moore print for my office I live in south FL and want all the Gators coming in my office to have to look at it

tommy wilcox interception against miss. state to preserve the win.

the sack.

for both of these i was sitting in the end zone right behind the play and got an incredible view of the play.

TommyMac, I remember all this. I got goosebumps reading your post. If Mama had not called, likely, other posters would not have had their memories.

Thank God for Mary Harmon!

There's just way to many to name.
But one of my favorites is Prothro's catch on the back of the helmet of the Southern Miss player...........Unbelievable!!!

There are two.

Teague's 3rd quarter interception and return for a TD that put us up 27-6 against Miami in the '93 Sugar Bowl.

Anders' sack and forced fumble that Upshaw recovered against Texas in the National Championship game this year.

This one is difficult, but if I had to pick one......
It's gotta be Tiffin's kick to beat the Barn.
I was watching that game in a bar in Buffalo,NY and before Van lined up the kick I said, rather loudly, that if he made it,I'd buy everyone in the bar a shot.
Hehe,it ended up costing me about $70.....

And it was worth every penny.

The whole 1992 Sugar Bowl is my favorite game! 11 men at the line of scrimmage against the so called "fastest team alive". But I also love teh desperation block to beat Penn State in 1989.

I'll have to agree with the '92 Sugar Bowl as "The Game". We just trashed that trash talking bunch at the U.
Favorite play has to be any game where we take a knee in the 4th quarter. There's no finer play in my book.

1. VT's kick! I know that a national title was not on the line but that Iron Bowl was the best game I have ever watched in my life. So, the best play from that game is easily my favorite.
2. My favorite nonplay would be Teague's strip.
3. The sack.
4. The Goal Line Stand.
5. AT's pick six in the first SECCG.

With our current situation in mind I would like to see our current #22 repeat Musso's performance against Auburn in 1971. His last TD will always be one of my favorite Alabama moments. I'd take the 31-7 score too :biggrin2:
