Question: What was it like at BDS after we stomped the Barn?

Let me start this by saying that I wasn't at the game I was home with a bunch of Bama faithful and one bulldog fan, here in Georgia.

What I observed was a pretty classy bunch of players and fans following the win. With all the talk about how we would "stick it to the Barners and Tubs" for their past, uncouth, celebrations I didn't see or hear any holding up seven fingers for their seventh loss, or the middle finger, or duck calls, ect. I did hear three renditions of the loudest Rammer Jammer I have ever heard and it was music to my ears.

What I saw was a bunch of players celebrating the way they should...with class. I was pretty proud of them but, like I said, I wasn't there....How did it go down at BDS?

It truly was one of the best atmospheres in Bryant-Denny that I have ever been a part of. I have been to most every home game since I was a student in 1998, and have been in TP ever since. Granted we haven't had that much to celebrate during those years of football, but last night was incredible. The crowd was in to it ever time the Barn had the ball. I think we wanted that shutout almost as bad as the players. It has been a long time coming for us to whip them like that, and I loved being part of every minute of it!!! Bring on the Gators, RTR!!!

One of the players commented how the crowd stayed "even after we were up big early in the 4th quarter."

Did we have any major recruits visiting that witnessed the game and the celebration? If so, the atmosphere may help swing them. :)

LOUD! A big party...

Even the Greeks stayed well past the end this time to help!

Best post-game celebration I've seen since 1999 AT LSU in their own stadium...that was fun, too!

Even after Rammer Jammer was sung and the rest of the stadium emptied almost completely, the student section remained, as if demanding an encore. Then the seniors came back onto the field from the locker room and we cheered them one last time.

Best atmosphere I've experienced at a sporting event. Ever.

I didn't get to go but a buddy of mine did and told me that it was the final stamp on what he called "The winds of change" of the Alabama program. He's old enough to have been around during both the good and bad years. He said last night you could FEEL a huge weight being lifted off this program. Ending the streak was like putting "the probation Bama" to death and the coming out of the new and improved rebuilt Bama. He said the atmosphere was very special. ROLL TIDE!!! Almost brought tears to my eyes.

I was there and I would concur with this opinion.

The crowd was loud every time Auburn touched the ball, and did NOT let up even after the game was well in hand.

It was an amazing game, much fun, and cathartic for myself and the rest of the Bama nation.

One of the best atmospheres I've ever witnessed personally.

On the Barn's first possession, the place was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think.

The post-game celebration was just awesome. It was like a weight being lifted off your shoulders. Rammer Jammer was something I will remember for the rest of my life.

The one thing that really chapped me was when the Barn players came out for pre-game warmups, several of them came over in front of the student section and danced around holding up 6 and 7 fingers and flipping the bird...I thought to myself that our players were too focused to engage in such non-sense (and Coach Saban wouldn't let something like that happen)...it just showed the difference in the 2 programs at the moment...and I knew right then that we were going to pound them.

What idiots. Thanks for the free pep ralley morons. Why stir up the fan base even more.

On a different point, this has just made me want to go home and watch the game again for the third time!

Man, what a show that must have been. Even though I wasn't there in person I was there in spirit. Coach Saban must have OKed the seniors coming out that way. What a great experience it must have been for them and what a classy move by CNS.

Great post BB, I know that your friend put into words what all Bama fans feel.

Speaking for myself I am sitting here today and looking ahead to the SECCG, then to the bowl and on to next season but.....

I am no longer looking behind at anything!

It was everything any Bama fan would have hoped for, and then some. We cheered, we sang, we high-fived, we smiled and laughed, for not only ourselves, but for every Bama fan everywhere.

Thanks to Siran for setting the tone early, the coaches for a terrific plan, the players for near perfect execution, the band for refusing to stop playing RJ, the crowd for not wanting to leaving for nearly 30 minutes after. Lastly, the seniors for setting the example on getting this program turned around by doing things the Bama way.

Wish you all could have been there.

What was it like? I'm about to leave for Florida momentarily, and I'm uploading all of my videos (to youtube) and images and I'll be sure to post them on here tomorrow night. You'd have to see it to believe it!

It was awesome! The last time I've felt that much electricity during a game was the UF game a few years back. I've never felt that much electricity after a game...ever!

I was in the Auburn section and they were pretty quiet. No smack talk. No fingers. I think they saw the writing on the wall early....then often....then the last nail went into the coffin in the third quarter. Many of them were trailing out by the top of the 4th.

You could just tell that we Bama fans were relieved, joyous, and it felt like a huge weight had been lifted.

It was like one big "WE TOLD YOU SO!!!" The world is correct on her axis once again.

I am 47 years old and have been to many Bama games. In the Bryant years, it was different but not like this last night. The 2005 UF game was the best until last night. The UF game pails in comparison to that stadium last night. I was in the stadium 90 minutes before the game and you could feel it building moment by moment. By the time Sara Evans sang the anthem, the team came out, and then the moment with Siran...you could not have written a better script for it. Then, the players and coaches did their thing. That was and is ALABAMA FOOTBALL! Then, the party after was something else. The only thing I could even think would rival it would have been the Goal Line Stop against Penn State or the Sugar Bowl against Miami. The only difference was that those games were not played in the home stadium. One thought I had during one of the many CBS timeouts...I looked around and wondered if Coach Bryant would have liked what happened last night? I think so and he would have been proud of the tradition and order being restored!

Thanks to everyone...players, coaches, band, cheerleaders, special guests, etc...who played a part in a magnificent night.

The state of Alabama is again CRIMSON!

This was my first Iron Bowl I have ever attended, and let me say that I know it will be one of my most memorable moments at Bryant Denny. The crowd was LOUD, and the only fans I saw leaving early were wearing orange and blue!! There was so much meaning in this game and I am glad I got to witness it. I even recorded Rammer Jammer from my camera!!

RTR, bring on Florida, both the Gators AND Miami in January!:BigA:
