It has be the kick six, not only because of the way the game ended or it being a loss to the barn, but because it cost us a shot at the SEC and national titles.
My second worse loss is an obscure one compared to the others that folks have mentioned.
I'll set the stage: The year was 1990 and I was a senior in high school. Bama was fresh off of the heels of a 10-2 season, and returned virtually everyone from their record setting offense. It was the first game of the Stallings regime, and no one could convince this 17 year-old that Bama wasn't going all the way, and this pathetic little Southern Miss team surely wasn't going to be more than a minor speed bump.
The game was an absolute nightmare. First, Brett Favre, the USM qb, had been in a car accident over the summer, and was not expected to play. He played, and played well. Second, in what would be a recurring theme for that 1990 season, our all-everything RB Siran Stacy fell in a heap on the artificial surface, grasping his knee. It was a torn ACL. Third, we just couldn't get any consistency late in the game, and pesky Brett Favre propelled USM to a stunning upset of top ten Bama.
I was devastated for weeks, and my classmates at school ribbed me that much worse knowing how much the loss got to me. I remember it like it was yesterday...
