I've wondered about that myself, BamaDMD! I chose Housedividedby3 because my family has allegiance to 3 different schools. I am a Bama alumna, my husband is an AU alumnus, our daughter graduated this past spring from MSU, and our son is a Soph there! Yep, I think we have the SECw pretty well covered! 

I lived in Northern VA for several years and was in a fantasy football league with a bunch of Penn State chuckleheads. One year they all named their teams some variation of Dreamland BBQ Sauce or Bear Bryant's ghost or pretty much anything to mess with me. That is how I arrived at psupoop...and now I live in PA.

I like this thread because I have often wondered myself where some of these names came from or mean.
The DMD part of mine is a designation for my dental degree. While many dentist are DDS, the DMD is used by the University of Alabama dental school.
Interesting - is there a difference?

Mine's pretty obvious once you realize I work in the recording industry...

I was born in Escambia County Florida (Pensacola). Moved to Escambia Co. Alabama (family reasons), and my wife and I both work in Pensacola. Hence, EscaTider. Nice little corner of the world, by the way.

My first memories of Alabama football are from the 1961 National Championship team, and at the time I began reading Tidefans around 2001, I had been a Bama fan for forty years. I guess this season will mark the fiftieth year of my fandom, but not sure that I want to ask for a name change; I feel old enough!

Rolltide79 - '79 was the year I graduated high school. I didn't get to attend the great U of A because I joined the Navy and spent my career as a Sailor :). I was torn between this name and lilsheriff, which was my nickname in the Navy.
