What's the story behind your TideFans name?

I'll admit I didn't put a whole lot of thought into mine, it just happened to be available...I tried quite a few variations of other Crimson this or that, but most were taken. Crimson for Bama-related, and I think my cat happened to stroll into the room while I was registering...

I'm the Vin-Man and I came here just to meet with you. I'm the beast from the East, I'm a wild sexy beast, I'm the Vin-Man.

@BamaFossil: kudos to you for coming up with such a cool thread! I have really enjoyed reading everyone's input, and what really amazes me, is all the folks who now live in Mississippi! I grew up in B'ham, but made my way to Tupelo via San Francisco....yeah, talk about culture shock! But I'll take living in the south with SEC football any day!

I love in Montgomery, known regionally as "The Gump." Liked it, too, that Forrest Gump played for the Tide.

Huge Pro-wrestling fan, and Diamond Dust is the name of a move used by a Japanese wrestler. To picture it, imagine if the opponent is backed up in the corner, you are on the top rope, and you come off... doing a somersault into a Stone Cold Stunner.

Here's a video of it:

My first name is David, and I'm also a big David Lee Roth-era Van Halen fan. I have been known to call myself "Diamond Dave" as well.

Science has always been interesting to me. I was a weird kid, instead of wanting the newest video games and hot wheels cars I was fascinated by ant farms and fossil kits.

A Red Giant (or Red Star) is one of the largest objects in the universe. Here's a great idea of how big a Red Star is.

Kinda nerdy, but a great reminder of how small we actually are. Plus I always thought "Red Star" always sounded like a good message board name.

I'm from Breaux Bridge, La......but my Dad was a Bama Alum and brought me up the right way :)

So CajunCrimson is what flows thru my veins. :)

I was once registered here (September 2000) under a name - lost the password and the old email address when I was living in the Hsville area. Since moved to Wilmington, NC (the coast) and returned to Tidefans as a "ghost"

I've always thought you had one of the cooler names here on Tidefans.
