Although JP Sports is bad - I'm just thrilled the game will be on and it's nice to have an away game to rest up for Homecoming.

Root Canal - never had one, but I'd rather do almost anything other than visit with the dentist. Hate the dentitst! This probably stems from all those years of torture wearing braces when I was a kid.

The JP announcers make me want to pull my hair out, but I'm glad they make that early game available. I'm also thankful there's a UPN station here in mid-Missouri that carries it.

I haven't watched a football game of JP Sports in a while since I have lived out of the area for a lot of years now. No matter how bad JP is there is no way that they can even approach the level of bad that the Crimson Tide Sports Network, CTSN's Alabama Football pay-per-view games are. The video and audio production are worse than a lot of the high school games I see on cable. The commentary does not hold my interest and it is like listening to nails on a chalkboard. The bad timing of the commercial cuts to and from the game are unbelievable. I am not sure if ESPN GamePlan this week will carry the CTSN or JP coverage but I hope it is the JP coverage.

During the game, he calls the play-the-play for Comcast/Charter Sports South's tape delay broadcasts and for . Crane, the radio voice of Alabama women's basketball and baseball, also hosts "Crimson Tide This Week", a 30 minute television show highlighting all of the sports programs at the Capstone.

Tyler Watts - Color Commentator

In the WCU game I actually heard Tyler say "plass" twice. I guess that is a play/pass combo. The second time he said it he froze in mid sentence. He must have thought could I have possibly said plass twice in one game. I personally like Tyler as a former Bama QB but he is still learning the broadcast business. And don't get me wrong I am not blaming the bad quality of the CTSN PPV Broadcast on Tyler. He actually does a pretty good job. It is Crane that really gets on my nerves with his funny voice inflection and rambling style with what seems to be little or no attention to down and distance or a focus on the real substance of the game.

I haven't even bothered to write them. I figure if they haven't noticed how bad their PPV TV Broadcast is it is none of my business to try and tell them. I have no other choice than to watch the PPV games. It is either that or drive clear across country and go to the games.

Yeah JP is sort of low rent, but at least we get the game. I would love to listen to Eli and Snake, but they are always about two seconds before the TV and it gets annoying and I have to turn it off. I wouldn't mind if they were behind the TV, but I can't take them being ahead.

I listen to Eli and Snake on Sirius radio up here, and it runs about 5 or 6 seconds behind TV. That's better than radio running ahead of TV, but it still takes a lot of getting used to.

Better Than PPV

If you listen to the game on mute like one of the posters said, you might as well not listen to the Eli show. I like Eli for Nascar, but if you just have to listen to him and are not able to see the game..... Good luck on knowing where the ball is at, on the end of the play... I really like listening to the "Snake"
