with several newbies on the forum, maybe it's time for a "what's your screen name mean?" There are some new ones that look semi-interesting.

Mine is a just a play on words. Duh.

:biga2:

CrimsonMask: what a professional wrestler has after he "blades" (cuts himself) his forehead during a match. All of the blood then flows over the face and the announcers proclaim: "OMG! RIC FLAIR HAS JUST BEEN HIT IN THE HEAD WITH A CHAIR BY STING! HE'S CUT! HE'S CUT! FLAIR NOW HAS A CRIMSONMASK LADIES & GENTLEMEN! HIS ENTIRE FACE IS COVERED! OMG!"

or something like that.
Anyway, being a reformed wrestling fan I thought it was a cool play on words. Crimson (as in THE TIDE) and Mask (since that is what all of these names are anyway....something to hide our true identity).
Hence "The CrimsonMask".

"Who's Next?" Oops, sorry. An old Goldberg tagline. I promise I am reformed.
Anyway...........next.

Mine's a nickname from when I was about 10 and playing basketball. I had weird form at the time, and people would always refer to it as that "bama slaw" as I'm a huge bama fan.

Name

When I started on this forum in 2001, I was living in Louisiana on a Bayou.... and I graduated from UA in 1975...thus the name... (I now live in Georgia)

When I first came on this forum, way back when Al Gore invented the internet, I lived in Louisiana. Been gone for a few years now and should change my screen name but it's too much of a hassle.

Back in the 70s, when I went to a lot of b'ball games in Coleman, I got a little nuts at times what with ragging the refs and the other team. At one of these games someone sitting near my group said "That guy is a real psycho Joe." It stuck, at least with the group I was going to games with. I've resurrected the name over the last few years on the Bama boards that I frequent.

I was in a near constant state of queasiness around the time I signed up for various message boards. The name stuck with me but fortunately the queasiness did not.
