Yes , Petey will enroll after the season . Same situation for Darius McKeller and Anthony Orr . Quinton Dial was the only signee who was not able to gain eligibility . Dial is planning to return after taking the JUCO route .

Thanks for the info. Glad to hear that it had nothing to do with grades. That was my main concern. The 2009 Class was LB heavy so this may work out for the better.

I talked to a friend here in Tampa that knows Petey and his family last week. They are all good with the decision to gray shirt. His mom even said that it was for the best. He's very excited about January and is working out with local friends every day here in Tampa.

Glad everyone's OK with the grayshirt. I suspect his family is right re it being for the best. It would be hard to crack the lineup with the current LB corps. He'll have a year up on the 2010 class.

I wasn't sure where you were coming from as I had already heard so much BS from the barners that Petey was lied to etc..

The thing is he could have gone to the barn and played with his older brother right away but chose to greyshirt with the Tide instead. The idiot aubs cannot realize that this was his choice and Petey was not duped into doing this.

Also, Petey is recovering from an injury and would've been red shirted this year any way.
