OK we've had the chance to watch all of the sec teams. Who played the best today?Did one team play better defensively than another? Which team played better offensively?

Which team do think we no longer have to worry about?
ole miss?

au seemed to have a good offense but to me looked bad on defense.
fl has some major offensive woes to straighten out. I kept expecting um to grab an oxygen mask.
ole miss has major problems on both sides of the ball, but I think the coach is the biggest problem.
lsu's only problem is their head coach.

Georgia looked very good today as well. Aaron Murray was very impressive and their offense was not slowed down at all without AJ Green or Washaun Ealey. The Bulldogs looked very good in their game vs LA Lafayette.

In decending order -

1. Bama
2. Mittittippi Tate

And that my friends is it.

A lot of people laughed at me when I said "watch out for Mittittippi Tate". Maybe they won't be laughing in a few weeks after they rack up a few SEC wins.

Georgia scored 55, didnt have many penalties, good balance of rushing and passing and 1 turnover. Looks like they dominated La Lafayette.

Arkansas dominated their game but too many penalties.

Tennessee destroyed their cupcake in style showing a good running game.

Miss St. beat the fur off the Memphis Tigers playing a solid game with few mistakes. Good passing game but not much rushing.

Auburn scored a lot against a team with no defense but showed they have some holes to plug themselves.

LSU what can I say? They must have passed out Valiums to the team at halftime.

Ole Miss just became a laughing stock at least for a week.

UK won but way too many penalties.

Bama was dominant, but hard to judge because the opponent was so weak.

Georgia was better than I though they were gonna be.

South Carolina also impressed.

Mississippi State destroyed Memphis.

Auburn scored pints but gave up way too many yards and points.

Tennessee was good against inferior competition.

Florida was surprisingly bad.

Vandy was Vandy.

Ole Miss was an embarrassment to the conference.

LSU overcame poor coaching once again.

Arkansas dominated a cream puff as well.

Kentucky looked decent against a bad Louisville team.

Right now I would say Georgia, South Carolina and Georgia looked the best, better judge after next week.

I guess another question would be does Bama compare favorably with all the teams they will play this year?

right now I would take them over au,fl,lsu.
but miss st, ut, even ky looks tougher

What about usce? How did Bama look compared to them?

For opening game, not necessarily today, I'd say South Carolina and Alabama.

Thursday night, South Carolina looked good all around, especially on offense. I was honestly surprised at how sound Garcia looked.

Alabama wasn't terribly emotional, but a workmanlike 48-3 opener is good, even if it was against San Jose State. We just went out there and dominated.

We showed up for work, we kicked....., then we went home to prepare for Penn State.

we really can not see too much from just one game. in my opinion:
1.Ole Miss sucks, they could bounce back later on though.
2.Since gators put their big F on the field, they just fails.
3.Les Stupid Who proves him again.
4.Auburn has no defense.
5.South Carolina and Georgia are solid,
they might decide who will face us in Dec.
6.Arkansas and Miss State are surprisingly good.
They will be our toughest opponents.
7.We will win it again.

From my house:
1. Bama - Looked unstoppable on O, D not to shabby either.
2. Bama 2nd team - Nuff said.
3. Georgia - Dominated.
4. South Carolina - Solid.
5. Florida - Only 26 total yrds of O going into 4th? Ouch.

My SEC power rankings

1. Bama
2. south Carolina - played better competition than UGA or MSU
3. MSU - really dominated a memphis team that usually has a few good athletes
4. UGA - we should know more after next week.
5. UT - don't know how good UT- martin is, but good debut for Dooley
6. UF - just because. they can't be as bad as they looked, can they?
7. Arky - defense still needs work
8. barn - 600 yards of offense, gave up 366 yards on defense
9. LSU - tigers have issues. probably deserve higher, but something is not right with this team
10. Kentucky - great first half, almost lost it in the second half
11. Vandy - close loss to a pretty good NW team
12. Jax state, er, I mean Ole Sis. nothing else to say.
