Who else thinks little sister will go after Pat Hill?

As we well know, Auburn's secret goal in life is to be like Alabama. As much as they deny it, they would love to have what we have. With that being said, do you guys think they will go after Pat Hill because Coach Mac has worked so well for us? I saw where Pat Hill withdrew from consideration for the Washington job, and it got me wondering if Moo U had contacted him. Thoughts?

Bobby Lowder will be the next head coach at Auburn.

Why not? He's already calling all the plays.

From what I have heard about Coach Hill he is not one that takes orders from some booster. He is as hard-nosed and tough as they come. Would he make a good SEC coach? Yeah I think he would. Would he fit at the Barn? Well the power brokers down there want to have their egos stroke more than win football games so I don't see Hill going that route....

I doubt that. ESPN said after he interviewed he gave Washington until yesterday (Wed, Dec 3rd) to hire him or move on and they didn't so he withdrew.

It is impressive what he is done there, especially in developing the recruits he has gotten. He's beaten some BCS level competition that had better athletes. I don't know how well he'd do though because I'm not sure he knows much about the southeast, if anything at all. They could and probably will do worse when they make a hire.

I'm more scared that they'll hire Chris Peterson from Boise State. He's done a phenomenal job there. I know the competition's not that stiff in the WAC but they did beat Oklahoma in that bowl game a few years ago and they're undefeated this season.

If they had half a brain they'd at least see if he was interested. Hill is a heck of a coach.

I think that might be smoke and mirrors... What's Hawkins at Colorado doing these days?

Maybe, but Peterson could have been the driving force behind Hawkin's success much like Gary Patterson was responsible for making fRan look better than he was. A great coordinator sometimes makes a HC look like a genius. One knock on Peterson from Aubie's view is that he reportedly practices Scientology, and I don't see that flying on the plains. The fanbase and a alum/booster that I know adamantly refuses to even consider him. I'm not sure how Booby Lowder feels about it though!

You got that right. One thing is for certain, and that is that coaches and teachers network with one another. We know how our bosses are and we let other know. I'm constantly in contact with other Basketball coaches and educators cross city, state or country. Same for teaching. You never know when an opportunity may present itself or you need some information.

I hope pat hill doesn't go the AU route. it would destroy his career. He was my choice for cms's replacement. I think CMM made a better choice.
I really like pat hill though he would be perfect for LSU once CLM is gone next year.

Go ahead, try and figure out what Chop Block U. will do. I am not going there because the odds are against me. My only prediction is this: I will not be surprised by what they do. No, wait. I will be surprised by what they do. You see, I am already confused.

Pat Hill is a good coach; I was wondering why Utee didn't give him a good look-see. He's a much better choice than Kiffin, IMO.
