Who is Utah State?

Not much of a challenge at all. They are a low-level Sun-Belt team moving to the WAC. They are on the level of UTEP. Hell Troy smacked them around last year. I have full confidence that we will by 17 or more easily.

I believe we'll take these guys. However, two things always concern me with "2nd tier teams":

a. These teams always get up for Bama. They usually will have played their best game of the year after us. Given our recent pause in domination, they might get the idea that they can compete with us. Some of them ain't bad teams, either.

b. Sadly we have normally played only up to the level of our competition, with occasional exceptions.

Hence I've learned over the years to respect that other team. We have been horsewhipped by some "gimmies" in the past that I personally took lightly.

One game at a time,I believe is the phrase.

Agreed, but this is no La. Tech or Northern Illinois.

The fact that they are the Aggies should fire us up a lot!

Just like in field goal kicking there's no such thing as a chip shot, there is no such thing as a gimme game in which you can name the score anymore. Who's to say Utah St won't be the "Northern Illinois" of '04? And, honestly, who thinks Northern Illinois, despite their talent, really should have beaten us in BDS? I sure don't...

Utah State is the most important game on our schedule...until it's over...then the most important game is Ole Miss.

Its funny you should ask, Utah State stopped by today asking if I had seen Slim, I told Utah State that he just left town.

they are someone you should NOT overlook!
After losing to Northern ILL last year I would NOT overlook anyone on the schedule.
I had no idea who or what NIU was until I walked out of Bryant Denny at the end of the game last year. NEVER OVERLOOK ANYONE!

Please close this forum before it ends up in the football locker room in Utah State!!!!

Probation, Limited Scholarships, Coming off a 4-9 season, second year head coach, the list goes on and on.

Should we beat them? YES
Are we a little "iffy" about the 2004 season? ABSOLUTELY

Always believe, but be classy enough to understand
