Why are we not talking about the women's basketball team?

The ladies are 19-3 and apparently playing well. The university has 2 pretty good basketball teams.

They have been up and down enough that I don’t think they have developed a true deep fan base unlike South Carolina has. But a few years like this and they will.

I'm guessing it's because there is still a gulf between the top teams in the sport and where Alabama and the rest of the women's game is. I would count making it to the 2nd weekend of the NCAA tournament as a success since we haven't done that since the late 90s.

Great effort yesterday on the road against top 10 Sooners. This closing stretch coming up of USC/FLA/Vandy and Texas is brutal- That said, we are definitely NCAAT bound which has become more of the norm under Coach Curry.

Need to start taking the Oats approach to scheduling out of conference. Might lose a few but it can prepare you for the tougher conference teams. The out of conference schedule was pretty weak.

I like this post about out of conf scheduling- I love getting 20 plus wins but 1-2 more at least truly challenging games in Nov Dec would probably help in Jan/Feb

All that said, I expect us to get an 8-9 seed this coming Monday night- That unfortunately would put us in line to play Texas/UCLA/UCONN
