I agree why does CBS fight so hard to get the Bama Matchups then let these bums do the announcing. Danielson is so clearly anti-Bama he might as well be wearing a sign around his neck. I think its because the Bear didnt want him and then he went to play for the supposed other national powerhouse at the time ND, and has been jealous ever since. I mean at least try to pretend that you're a professional. Oh, Gary please keep telling me what you would on every down, so that everyone knows what the team shouldn't do. You're hindsight seems to be perfect-Congrats!

As for Verne lowshot about the incarceration thing then backed it up with "he's in jail", referring to Ingram on a 3rd down screen that was short of the first. Please, If you can't get the names correct just call out the guy's number.

Don't get me wrong I don't need a homer to call the game. I'll settle for someone who doesn't have it in for Bama.

Please tell me what value is in it for the TV audience to know that a student athelete's father is in prison?

If there was somewhere else to watch Bama, I certainly would change the channel pronto and not listen to those two "Bama-Haters"!!!!

I mean, from the start of the game it was nothing but Matellet this, Matellet that, etc.........until when it was obvious that Arkansas was not going to win before they started singing the praises of the great plays of the Bama players.

At this point, it is clear to me that neither Danielson nor Lundquist take any pride in the job that they do. Forget that the Ingram comments were classes and the the Grant comments were false. The amount of mistakes they make on routine things is astounding. And they do it on a consistent basis.

This is not specific to Alabama games either. I've watched other games where they make just was many stupid mistakes. Good announcers take the time to learn the players correct names and what city the game is being played in.

I can't believe the CBS lets these two jokers stay on the air. With the amount of money CBS spends to broadcast SEC games, you'd think that they would want the quality of announcing to be pretty high. Having Gary and Verne diminishes the value of the product that they paid a hefty price for.

Maybe one of our esteemed resident head docs can help us better understand at what age senility starts setting in? Verne stumbled so many times yesterday, I almost felt bad for him. The "Oh Sh**" thing was clearly an example of someone forgetting what company and setting they are in.

This was my question... They are obviously biased against Bama, but whether they are just poorly prepared and stumble-bums in all games! It's like they don't have enough sense to be embarrassed for themselves.
I kept hearing over and over about how they had been at the Arkansas practise and what a good team Arkansas was and what good execution they really had -- if only they hadn't gotten nervous like a teen on his first date. Our victory had nothing to do with Alabama being the better team with better preparation -- it was just that Arkansas was nervous and couldn't show what a superior team they really were.
PLEEZE! Isn't there anyone at CBS monitoring these guys. Why isn't someone at CBS who is embarrassed to be associated with this broadcast?

Verne Lundquist really should go back to doing NFL games. He was a long-time play by play guy for the Dallas Cowboys, for those of you that did not know. I just think he's out of his element in the college game. As for Gary Danielson, it's his anti -Bama bias that grinds on me the most.

I know there's no way we can go back to Keith Jackson and Frank Broyles from the goold old days, but CBS has got to make a change. I love Brad Nessler and Todd Blackledge over at ESPN/ABC. Maybe they could get them.

Yea Lundquist and Danielson are both idiots. They seem totally lost up their in the booth. They don't even know which two teams are playing half of the time, much less any of the players. If all they do is SEC games every week, then they should know these teams in depth. Especially the top teams in the conference. They remind me of lazy pigs that don't take their job seriously anymore and believe they can laugh their way to the bank. Something needs to be done. Put someone that is still a little hungry in there, that will actually read up on the teams obsessively and watch other SEC games during the week, which can be done on the internet.

They are making a lot of money blowing hot air by talking of the seat of their pants with no homework.
