Why is Mark Barron listed as a "soft" verbal now?

I really concider all verbals soft as a baby's bottom. There are some that are huge bama fans or Saban fans who are probably rock solid but there is no way to know for sure who they are.

Usually if you get to the end of January if they have not switched they probably won't unless they are one of those guys who pull an unexpected switch just to get some attention. and if they are that juvanile they really don't belong with the Crimson Tide.

As for Scott I think he knows that he will be a featured weapon in our offense and will be coming to the capstone. At Florida your never going to touch the ball unless your name is Harvin or Tebow and Auburn is a grave yard for wideouts, moving to the spreads not going to change that. If their wideouts can't do squat in the west coast offense what makes anyone thing they can catch any better in the spread? Auburn people always think their offense is the greatest thing since Rugby mophed into football.
To be honest, all this Franklin spin is just that spin...........if he was such a hot item why was he at Troy, and not looked at by other top programs.T Franklin is all a bunch of media hype and barn spin!

Destin Hood is joining Barron on his Auburn visit this weekend. It is also rumored that Barron will be visiting Baton Rouge either next week or the week after next.

Barron is visiting LSU on the 25th, along with Aundre Dean and Terrell Pryor. (assumming none of them back out last minute)

Other boards are reporting that neither Barron nor Pryor is actually going to visit LSU this weekend. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not?

Wildcard,
Fishhead, is a welcome guest here. Seems as though you need to be a little respectful beause this is not the scout board.

With all due respect...

We need a lot more people around like Fish, and a lot fewer people like you.

If you want to be that way about things, go enjoy the Scout.com boards.

Rumor was that Barron was going to visit LSU this weekend, but then we heard he backed out. He's from Mobile where LSU has recruited heavily the past 5 years or so, so that might have been in his mind. But, I don't think anyone knows at this point. I hear that he's a good one. If you guys get him (which I am sure that you will), he looks like a great pick up. Congratulations.

Fortunately for us that's beginning to look like it's going to change drastically. If this year is any indication a "wall" may be beginning to go up around Mobile and that area in UA's favor. Time will tell.

Once these great recruits from the Mobile/Eastern shore area are in the fold they'll be our best recruiters for the area in the next several years.
