Your First Alabama Bowl Memory

My mother was at that game in Philly.

We had just bought a t.v. and we watched Alabama vs. Syracuse in the '53 orange bowl. Syracuse had brought a big old cannon to shoot every time they scored. They got to shoot it once. We beat them something like 61-6. I have been a Bama fan every since. Bama put something on them yankees that Clorox wouldn't take off. (Bart Starr, Bobby Luna, Hootie Ingram, Corky Tharp, Clell Hobson, Tommy Lewis, Bobby Marlow)

New Year's Day 1979 - #2 Bama vs. #1 Penn State in the Sugar Bowl. Goal line stand sealed National Championship for the Tide! I was 11 years old and have been hooked on Bama football ever since.

I was 9 and it was exactly the same for me. I can remember exactly where I was when the Goal Line Stand happened. I have been an Alabama fan since that day.

I ended up attending both undergraduate and law school at UA.

'73 Sugar Bowl against ND....ugh!!

This is the one I remember. My father and my uncle met under a street light between their houses and sat in the middle of the street and drowned their sorrows. This is why to this day I hate ND
