I thought the inauguration wasn't until Tuesday, but if you turn on any news channel you would think it was Today! Anyone else think this is a little too much??
Dang, it's 2009.

Anyone find it ironic Obama moving into Government housing?
I certainly won't be watching much TV the next week or two (Fox will probably have updates announcing that "Obama has just gone to the bathroom" or "Obama just blown his nose. Analysis after these commercial messages...")Unbelievable.
The man's not even in office yet, but you're already on point with the snappy putdowns. :conf2:

What handouts are you referring to?He has never said that he would turn down Federal hand-outs.
Care to make your description more general?I have seen his ilk in my own business, and I can tell you that the tell-tale signs are there. The lust for power, the pride in big government.
What definition of Marxist are you using? Hereabouts, the most common definition is "anyone who does not embrace the neocon vision".He's a Marxist. Care to rebut that? Show me how he isn't so?
Hmmm?
Not to answer for the original poster, but I've always taken it to mean an analysis of historical or contemporary trends that emphasizes class conflict or ownership of the means of production as analytical tools. What definition of Marxist are you using? I'm seriously rooting for the guy. How sick is it to want a guy to fail when his failure negatively impacts yourself? :conf2: I do not agree with a lot of his thought processes or views but I hope with him actually getting into the office, seeing first hand what he has to deal with that he'll make the best decisions for the country.
Don't be surprised once he actually gets knee deep into the job that he changes his mind on some stances that he might of had during his campaign. Many times people from an "outsider's view" have one opinion and view point on an issue then once set right in the middle of it change their viewpoint. Because they now have access to information that they didn't when they had their original opinion.
But either way I hope he succeeds and makes the best decisions for our country. It's time to move past "democrat", "republican" crap. All that does is turn into a urinating contest with no productive thinking.
Completely agree BB. I didn't vote for the guy (not because he was black or Muslim, shocking as it may be to one "moderator"), but I wish him goodwill and all the best, at least for the country, in his term.

I 've never watched any of them but I woud never in a million years watch this one even if you offered to pay me. IMO, it's one of the saddest days in our nation's history. When it's all over (his 4 years), a lot of people that voted for him are going to feel pretty stupid. I can't recall a time I felt more depressed about our nation's future. I see REALLY bad times ahead for our country.
