Thought this might be interesting to some. Is it the kiss of death or a goal to strive for.

They had a bulls eye on their backs already and you can bet this will be on every locker room bulletin board.

I'm sorry, but I don't see any team beating Florida this year (at least on their regular season schedule). I boldly told everyone Ole Miss would hang with Florida last year, and possibly defeat them and people thought I was crazy, but case in point is they aren't playing Ole Miss in the regular season this year. I think their only challenge will be in the two championship games and that's it. Other than that, before hand, it should be smooth sailing.

Generally speaking, they have a pretty good schedule. LSU and UGA are the only two genuine obstacles, and the gators have the two fairly well spaced apart. Still, they do have to go to Death Valley for the battle against the swamp tiggers, and both teams would dearly love to avenge last year's embarrassments. We'll see.

I agree, right now on paper only LSU stands in their way to a 12-0 season. They should beat either LSU or Alabama in the SECC game and probably roll over Texas or Oklahoma in the NC game. On the other hand, Tebow could get hurt early in the season and things fall apart.

I only see LSU and the SECCG as being their only real obstacles. I can't see Richt and UGA being much of a challenge. I want to burst their bubble in Atlanta, so I hope they are unbeaten til then. If they beat us, there's nothing to do but to congratulate them and look forward to 2010.

I know this is the SEC and ANYTHING can happen, but I just don't see why LSU is being hyped up so much -- especially against Florida. I just don't see how a defensive unit who surrendered over 100 points against UGA and UF last season will improve enough to contain a high-powered Florida offense, even under Chavis.

I get it when people say LSU will be UF's toughest regular season opponent, but where both teams currently stand, I'd say the only fit they'll give Florida will be the first quarter (that is if they give them any fit at all). After that, I see UF steam-rolling them from then on out.

LSU has the talent and the STYLE of team that matches up well with Florida. Much like we did in the SECCG, LSU has the ability to line it up and cram it down their throats. If they had done that more last year, rather than asking/forcing Jarrett Lee to throw so often, their season could have been totally different.

Had our offense not shot itself in the foot by coming out and throwing in the 4th quarter of the SECCG, we could likely have continued pounding Florida's D like we had done the entire 3rd quarter. Their D-line is relatively small, so bigger, physical teams give them a little trouble.

LSU has the big, punishing O-line and RB's that could control the clock and keep Tebow and co. off the field. But they will need to stick to that gameplan, and their D will need to come up with a couple stops, which will be a task in itself.
