Some years back there was a similar situation at Notre Dame. One of their employees was buying football players gifts, sleeping with them, partying with them – just having a ball. Very little happened except some bruised reputations. But – that was Notre Dame...

This sort of thing just gives me the willys – I'm not exactly an angel but it just seems too close to pimping young coeds by an institution. I'm glad Bama stopped it.

Now, if Bama stopped it, why didn't Tennessee stop it for the same reason.

I went to the UA-Vandy game in Vandy Stadium (in 1999) and sat next to a guy whose wife was the general manager of the hotel where Bama stayed during the 1998 Music City Bowl in Nashville. Oh, my goodness. All I could think was ... "That explains it."

Never heard of it, but I can only imagine he does. I was corrected in the break room at work one day after saying something funny about Fifty Cents. I was made aware that its "Fitty Cent", not "Fifty Cents".

A friend of mine is a UT grad and bona fide booster.

According to his sources, South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier is the one who ratted out the Mostest Hostess program. And most salaciously, many of the "contacts" made between the players and the ladies were, shall we say, a little on the naughty side.
