Nebraska up 10-0 halfway through the first.

May be time to give a few props to the UT defense. So far the Huskers are moving the ball much better than against Texas.

Watching. AZ can't get it done on offense. Neither can many against Suh & co.

As for UT D, I had already decided they were pretty good. But you make a good point @ NU's O.

I think AZ just can't stop the run. Nebraska sure can't pass, I've seen every game this year because my brother goes there, and if you stop the run at all, you stop Nebraska completely. I don't think Arizona realized that by watching tape, but don't be surprised if Zona makes a decent comeback.

Nebraska is for real on defense. Arizona only has 32 yards of offense and there is 4 minutes to go in the second quarter.

They just said Saban met with Nebraska's coaches to discuss Texas.

they also said texas' coaches got advice from CNS. Maybe they got some offensive advice. Announcers were saying oh nebraska was mixing up their offensive plays well. Maybe CNS gave some advice that worked in the florida game.

Arizona's players must be distracted by Erin's pants over on their sideline because they sure as heck aren't into this game.

Nebraska's QB and offense in general is horrible. Arizona's O isn't much better, but got to give some credit to Nebraska's D too.

So, Alabama has received ( unsolicited? ) help from both the Oklahoma and Nebraska staffs. Interesting.

One thing is for sure, I can see why the Texas defense struggled against Nebraska. The ESPN announcers were just comparing Nebraka's defense to Alabama's (both teams played VT), and they all said they think Nebraska is better defensively than Bama. I don't know if that is true, but you gotta admit that Nebraska has looked very good on defense these past two games, and I think Nebraska is definitely a very good defensive team. IMO, this kind of cancels out the A&M game the other night.

I'll say that the halftime score makes me rethink the BCSCG. I'm not sure I'm ready to say the Husker D is outright better than ours, but they sure came to play tonight.

The commentators just made a comment about Nebraska possibly having a better D than Alabama. They cited the VT game where, according to them, Nebraska held VT to 55 yards rushing. Thinking that is quite impressive, I checked the box score to see that it was VT that held Nebraska to 55 yards. Nebraska allowed 206 yards rushing (150 more than we did).

Minor details.

We held VT to 91 yds passing and 64 yds rushing,

Nebraska held them to 192 yds passing and 86 rushing.

Yeah Bama held VT to 155 total yards vs 278 allowed by Nebraska. They said "except one long pass". That was one helluva pass! 133 yards! That said Nebraska has a great defense but I'm not shaking in my boots because Arizona is struggling against them.
