According to BOL Keenan Allen has decommitted from Alabama. He is now listed in his Rivals.com profile as having interest in Cal, Clemson and Alabama. Allen and his family including his brother Zach Maynard visited Cal over the weekend. Cal is now considered by some analysts as the favorites for both Allen and his brother, who is a transfer from Buffalo.

The Bears hosted one of their biggest recruiting weekends of the year this past weekend. While it was small on numbers, it was large on talent. Leading the way was five-star linebacker/defensive end commitment Chris Martin, who put on his recruiting hat to help the Bears make up ground on five-star safety Keenan Allen, four-star defensive end Gabe King and quarterback Zach Maynard. "We were just hanging out," Martin told BearTerritory.net. "I showed (King) around San Leandro, the Oakland area. We were just hanging out with people I was with at school, so he was just hanging out with me. We went out with some of the football players at night." As for the future of the two blue-chippers, Martin was guardedly optimistic. "It's pretty much still up in the air," Martin said. "I'd like to say I'm confident, but I can never be sure. There's a lot of factors in their decisions, so I can't really say for sure whether it's 'Yes' or 'No.' I'd like to say that I hope that I can call them teammates."

Has he announced the decommitment himself? I wouldn't trust BOL as the sole source on this...

If he doesn't end up at Alabama, Cal would be a far better choice than Clemson.

I don't see Clemson coaching either brother up any more than Cal would and a degree from Berkley is one of those most prestigious in the country.

I'm skeptical. Until he says otherwise, he's still coming to Alabama. From what I can gather, no one from the Allen family has spoken publicly.

I'm sure CNS is thinking "Note to self, smile bigger next time I get drilled with a gatorade bath." Hmmmm where is the sarcasm button on this keyboard....

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - ACC Blitz: Waiting on Signing Day decisions
Clemson

The Tigers continue to wait it out for athlete Keenan Allen. Allen made a trip to California this weekend and is expected to announce on Signing Day between Cal, Clemson and Alabama. Clemson and South Carolina made one last push sending their staffs to see linebacker Justin Parker. Parker is expected to announce between the two schools on Wednesday afternoon. Word is that he is leaning towards the Tigers at this time. Clemson is still waiting on a decision from D.J. Howard, who is apparently down to the Tigers and Kentucky. The Tigers also got in the picture with UNC commit Darius Lipford. He's expected to announce on Signing Day.
