Bama Nightmare Scenario: Auburn vs Boise, Who Do You Pull For?

Seriously. It COULD happen; probably won't but it could.


Who would you pull for?

SEC pride? Against the Barn? Either way we'd have to eat a lot of crow for a year since we'd never hear the end of it no matter who wins.

If boise wins.... i have to hear about it on espn.... if auburn wins zombie Auburn fans will crawl in my window and taunt me.

I'm rooting for boise, and the sad part is if it weren't for the auburn fans i know, i would root for auburn

Easy Boise. Boise has found a way to screw the system that is designed to screw schools like them. I would be sweet to see them do it against Auburn if Auburn got to Glendale.

I'm one of the least Aubie-haters amongst Alabama fans. But, this is a tough one.
On one hand, a Boise win would be embarrassing, and all of the big boy college football world would be united in berating Auburn.
On the other hand, an Auburn win would maintain the SEC dynasty and further guarantee that the SEC champion in future years would get a chance at the title, even with one loss. So, it is more likely to help us down the road.

I'd be pulling for Auburn all the way. Just think how awesome it would be for two universities from the same state to win back-to-back NCs.

Of course, I don't live around Auburn fans and wouldn't have to put up with their antics if they actually won something.

Besides, think about the boost to the economy from all those toilet paper sales.

I think this is the second best thing we can hope for. If we lose to Auburn I would hope they would make it to the BCSNC and play Boise State. Then, I would pull for Boise State to win. That way, we could say that in their two best seasons ever, (2004 and this year) they weren't able to get a national championship.

EASY.....Boise!!!!! i hate auburn with a passion....i would root for a kiffen led tennessee team over the barn!!!!! i am so sick of hearing all their crap this year!!! i hope saban is taking notes and puts together a plan and we beat them 97 to 0!!!! i don't care who the barn is playing, i want them to lose every game they play :biggrin2:!!! i think if this was the matchup, giving boise state a month to prepare to play a big boy, as they usually get, they would dominate the barn...oh i'm sorry, i meant the Cam university tiger eagles Newton :biggrin:

Not to get this off track, but how many aubarn fans were rooting for us last year. We won the Heisman and SEC and NC after they were snubbed the 6 years they went undefeated. So you would be hard pressed to find any of them rooting for us last year. I am not going to bash them but due to their fan base which is akin to UcheaT would you want them to win. Dont give me the state pride thing. Or the SEC thing. Since aubarn and Boise have the same orange and blue. I wouldnt watch it if the game actually happened and the TV ratings would be the worst for a BCS game. So the network surely does not want aubarn even if their qb wins the heisman. What a maquee game. AUBARN vs BOSIE ST. for the BCS championship even ESPN cant pump enough sunshine into that match up to get the numbers anywhere near any of the other NC games. Its just my personal opinion. If we dont make it to the NC game I could care less if a SEC makes it to dance.

Nothing boosts recruiting like winning a national championship. A boost in Auburn recruiting means that Bama recruiting takes a hit.

Think twice before pulling for Auburn. I would much rather have my SEC pride hurt by a loss to BSU than Bama recruiting hurt by an Auburn BCS champion.

I would pull for Boise - I believe it would be a very close game and possibly a sloppy game. The point then would be proven that they neither one are that good just lucky. :biggrin:
