Thanks for the "thanks". SECE was admittedly down, but when you've never been there you don't nitpick over how you got there. This is huge in Columbia. Will be interesting to see if Spurrier can come up with something for auburn.

BTW, Lattimore is simply a stud. Those who doubted his abilities earlier in season are understandably quiet. This season he has torn up UGA, Bama, UT, and UF. Had he not gotten injured against UK USC would be looking at 8-2 and a better bowl game.

Hope Bama softens up the kitty-kats before USC faces them. Now if USC can just beat clemson (haven't beaten them back-to-back since 1969-1970).

Last year they beat Ole Myth, which was the highest ranked them they had beaten. Now they have beaten the #1 team and won their first SEC East title. I would think this should give them a bump in recruiting too. The Ole' Ball Coach may go out in a blaze of glory.

Yep, gotta give SC some love here............

Congratulations SC Nation, and I'm very happy for your program & fans. Well, deserved, and I hope your team wins the SEC this year over that other dirty/cheating team.

Enjoy it SC..............

Kudos. If we can't win the SECCG this year (and barring asteroids, Tinkerbell, and congressional investigations, we can't), I would as soon have the Gamecocks take it as anyone else. As a matter of fact, I will add my wishes to meet them in Atlanta next year as well.

The Gators could be out of the spot light for the foreseable future.
I've been saying all year long that something, and I don't know what, but something isn't right about the gators. Meyer looks like a mute on the sidelines either just standing there or bent over with his hands on his knees staring off into space. This little experiment of theirs isn't working and I can't help but think back to last year when a lot of people wanted Addazio gone, then when Meyer "retired" they made him interim head coach. You had to know that was going to be a recipe for disaster. Anyway, been there and done it and know it's no fun when it happens. Only took us about a decade to get it turned back around.

Sorry for the threadjack, congrats to the cocks, even if they could possibly be a three loss SEC champion and ranked lower than three or four other SEC teams when it's all said and done. That said, I'd take it over watching it on TV.

I commend your candor. Forgotten in the days of victory are the inevitable defeats to come. Or, to quote a favorite movie...

"For over a thousand years, Roman conquerors returning from the wars enjoyed the honor of a triumph - a tumultuous parade. In the procession came trumpeters and musicians and strange animals from the conquered territories, together with carts laden with treasure and captured armaments. The conqueror rode in a triumphal chariot, the dazed prisoners walking in chains before him. Sometimes his children, robed in white, stood with him in the chariot, or rode the trace horses. A slave stood behind the conqueror, holding a golden crown, and whispering in his ear a warning: that all glory is fleeting. "
