Will MI stay or go onto the pros. How about Julio? Any others??? I think Julio goes and Mark may want to consider staying on to finish his Sr. year. Mark Barron too, may look at his possibilities.

Julie and Ingram are definitely gone as they should be. What about Hightower and Barron?
Hanks and Maze? I usually wouldn't't give them a second thought but after Kareem left last year
I was at a loss....

My guess in order of leaving would be Jones, Dareus, and Ingram. Aside from those three I could see Barron and Hightower, but wouldnt bet.

I think Ingram/Julio are gone. Everyone else should stay, just for the simple fact that they WON'T go in the top 10, and there will likely be a rookie wage scale in the NFL starting next season. I *might* throw Dareus in that group...

The other Jr's are not ready to play on Sunday's. Ro, Javy and Kareem Jackson were obviously pro-ready (albeit, as seniors). Barron, etc are not. Not enough quality film...not enough "fire" time...etc. Hightower might be able to test the waters, but that knee injury may have set him back a tad in the eyes of NFL scouts.

They'll get there eventually.

JJ, Mark, and Marcel should go pro. They've done a lot for the program and are all going to be high picks. No reason for any of them to return and risk injury when all 3 have already been banged up this year. I think Barron will go (call it a gut feeling, but listening to interviews, he is either one really laid back person or has had a foot out the door since the season started). I think Hightower and Maze stay.

I've got Julio and Dareus gone. Not saying they should -- Julio played to the hype this year; Dareus has yet to, at least consistently. He's been far from the dominant player we expected we would see this year.

I'm not sure how healthy Ingram was this year, therefore I'm not sure where his draft status lies, which does sound funny given he's a Heisman winner. I won't be shocked either way, and have a weird hunch he could return. May just be wishful thinking...

Hightower is just now recovering from last year's injury, finally able to play to his ability in the past 3 or 4 weeks. He would benefit from another year at Bama.

Mark Barron has to learn to be a leader on an extremely good defense, rather than an opportunistic player on a great defense, as he was last year. He has great amount of ability, but he's FAR from an NFL talent at this point.

That assessment may sound pessimistic to some, however I think it's just an honest opinion. Maybe it hasn't helped that this team, while 9-3, was underwhelming much of the year. It was incredibly distressing to witness the lack of leadership this team displayed this year and the guys in this group were the primary guys that should have provided leadership. Will that fact adversely affect the draft status of these underclassmen -- probably not. But, it probably should.

No one could argue with Rolando's decision to come out. Andre Smith two years ago was a no-brainer. There isn't a no-brainer in this group.

ditto

It wouldn't surprise me if CNS advised Dareus to come back. I'm sorry but to think that his draft didn't take a hit would be foolish. I don't give two pickled turds what Mel Kiper says.

I agree with you.

I realize Dareus was hurt for much of the year, but overall he had a disappointing season. I just don't see him going in the top 10 of the draft after the season he's had. If the NFL scouts tell him he will go in the first round, I don't blame him for moving on to the NFL.

Julio and Dareus are gone, but I think that is it. I really think Mark will stick around, especially with his "off" year and knowing we have a great team coming back. I may be wrong, but I can hope!

IMO it would be foolish for Ingram to come back. Running backs have only a limited amount of carries in them. You have your RARE and I mean RARE exceptions but RB's in today's NFL game come a dime a dozen. Especially with the passing game becoming more prevalent. He's already won the Heisman and a national championship. I'd be willing to be CNS is going to TELL HIM, not advise him to go.

I just don't see where Barron should even think about leaving. He has A LOT of work to do with his pass coverage. I would certainly think CNS would advise him to stay for his senior season.

I don't see Hightower leaving.

There is no doubt in my mind that Julio is gone and I feel sure Ingram is gone as well.

I think Julio and Dareus are locks to go and I think that Ingram should go we are deep at RB and losing Ingram will hurt but not as bad as it would have a few years ago. Barron, Hightower, Hanks, and Maze should come back next year.

Here's my list. Let me note that I believe that some of these may be "encouraged" to go pro due to our numbers crunch.

As good as gone, 1st rd
Ingram, Julio, Dareus

Gone, but could use more seasoning to round out their game, 2nd-5th rd
Barron, Hightower

Possible late rounders, but likely to return
Hanks, Maze, Upshaw, Chapman

Also, I would like to add that if someone doesn't give P. Dial a chance as a late pick or Free agent, it would be a mistake. That guy gives 100 percent every play, he is sure handed, blocks well, and is aggressive. He's been the suprise of the season on offense for me. I think he could be as successful as Dallas Clark (Colts) or Chris Cooley (Redskins) as an H-back.
