What's the story behind your TideFans name?

A lot of people think I actually "cut glass." I don't. Glasscutter is a waterskiing term used to describe a slolam skier on glass-smooth water. It really looks like glass being cut by a saw. I love to water ski. 256 is the area code of course.

I ran a Karaoke distribution business for 10 years. I Also booked Karaoke shows around the state and Karaoke guys are referred to as KJ's as opposed to radio DJ's. We also supplied some sound equipment to Oak Mountain Ampitheater. (Named different now) At my store and various events I usually wore a black Strata golf hat.

At one particular event I was forceful in my explanation to a stage manager there. Now around that time the popular T.V show Friends aired an episode with a guy who was called the "Soup Nazi".

The stage manager that I was having a lively disagreement with finally became exasperated and just before he walked away asked, "Who are You, KJ Strata the Karaoke Nazi"? Several of my crew and friends heard the remark and the name stuck. The name is unique and always available so I became kjstrata.

It's not an exciting story but I promise you. He got no soup!

picked the nickname up from a dj at a bar i worked at, has stuck with me forever and considering my last name is ghee it fits kinda

First post here at Tidefans after about a decade of lurking (shame on me, I know...).

Anyway, my name here is TLIT, which stands for "That Li'l Inside Trout," or, what everybody thought Coach Kines was saying at halftime of the Whateveritwas Bowl:

Ok. No takers on the guess.
Al Becker was a character disussed but never seen on the Andy Griffith show.
Obviously like Mayberry a few pages back, I'm a fan of the show.
