Not to much about his recruitmnet but the video is nice. FSU fans claimed that Goldman was a better fit in their 4-3 base D and that Goldman preferred the 4-3, but I remember his father saying he could play in either. Well if you notice in this video his HS team is playing in a 3-4 and alot of the time EG is lined up at DE. I am not sure how good the teams are he is play against but for a DT he has got some speed coming off the edge. He reminds of J Williams on the team right now. Can play insiode but also out with his speed to get into the backfield.

I wonder if Stoops to AU, if it happens as the barners seem to think, will help or hurt UA's chances with him. I know AU is in it, but behind UA and FSU. But Stoops was his main recruiter and the main relationship he had with the FSU staff. I am sure it may put us ahead of FSU now but will it help AU.
 
Goldman is going to roll with us. He and Cyrus will be ours filling to big needs. Goldman, Lake, and I believe A. Taylor will solidify the DT position for years to come.

Stoops is not his main recruiter. Odell Haggins(DL coach and has the best relationship with Eddie) and Lawrence Dawsey are his main recruiters.
 
with goldman, i'd say watch out for maryland, due to the hire of locksley. that guy can recruit and has DC connections like no other. very late in the game i know, but i'm guessing they'll be a player.

Locksley did get both Arie and Cyrus to take OV's to New Mexico St when he was the head coach so you do make a valid point, but I don't know how serious Goldman ever considered Maryland. Is Locksley an ...'t at Maryland?
 
Goldman wants to play for a big time program that will get him into the NFL with the least amount of friction. Maryland is the farthest thing from any of that.
 
there has been turmoil in umd's program, but in the past they've had no issue sending players to the NFL. i think most people would be shocked to find out how many maryland players are on active nfl rosters. that being said, i don't think he'll go to umd, but i wouldn't count out locksley, that's for sure.

I was going by an article where he said he really liked Stoops and thought he could learn alot from him. He talked about the relationship he formed with him. I just assumed that was the coach recruiting him because he did notmention any other coaches by name.
 
I think that with Arie and Cyrus Kouandjio being at Alabama, and Cyrus Jones announcing for Alabama in the coming weeks, it helps Alabama's recruitment of Eddie Goldman tremendously. That's a lot of D.C./Baltimore area talent heading to Alabama. They all know each other as well.
