*** DL Korren Kirven Signs with Alabama ***

This class is heavy on D Linemen. By my count we've signed 6 DT's in this class. The future at DT looks strong. With these numbers CNS will have a rotation that stays fresh wearing out opposing offensive lines. Kind of like LSU did this year with many of their opponents. Great pick up here. RTR

The one thing that worries me is his 5.35 40 yard dash time. Must not be all that athletic but anyway welcome Korren!

btw: does anyone have any highlights for Korren? I cant find any.

Dont worry about that 40? Those numbers are never exact. I saw some film and I wasnt that impressed ill try to remeber where i found it.

As I am trapped up here in Virginia, I can tell you that the locals are pretty ticked off that he got away from Beamer. Bummer for them. Roll Tide and welcome KK!

I could almost guarantee you that forty time is not accurate. You can never simply go by the forty times that are listed in these prospect's profiles, because they are sketchy at best. Do you honestly think we would have taken him if he wasn't a good athlete? I mean come on, with the way we're recruiting you don't get offered unless our staff thinks you can play at the highest level.

If our DL are having to run 40 straight yards at any time outside of practice, we've got a big problem anyway ;)

yep; the 40 is overrated anyway, but especially so for OL/DL. The split time in the 40 would be a better indicator as would the shuttle for explosiveness and agility. Kirven was top 150 in ESPN and I think top 250 in rivals. He and Tomlinson are nice additions at the end.

I was watching the signing's come in on ESPN-U, and Kirvin was one of the first. Love it.

I think he can dominate. :BigA:
