I think Arkansas is a wounded animal right now and I think we'll face something better than we've seen from them all year. Regardless of the QB, they'll get a week of preparation which will be better than just throwing somebody into a game after an injury. I think they keep it close most of the way. Bama 31, Arky 21.

I know, but you know how crazy football is now. If I was his parent, I wouldn't want him playing. I remember when Tebow was knocked out, and how we never thought he would play against LSU two weeks later. But he did...
There's the difference. Two weeks later. Not the case this time. Too quick of a turnaround.

I agree. In fact, I would bet Arkansas spent a good bit of last week working on Bama instead of ULM. However, I don't think Arkansas offensive line will hold up the entire game and they may make some big plays, but won't be able to sustain drives. They stack the box on defense and force us to pass hoping AJ will have a bad day. I think we win, but I wouldn't be surprised for this to be close on the scoreboard for 2 or 3 quarters.....
Arkansas has spent the last 8 months preparing for Bama. Arkansas didn't need to prepare for ULM. All they needed was a coach with half a brain when their QB went down. Continued to play as if he were still in the game. With a 28-7 lead you run the ball and run the clock.

I think it will be close until the 4th if Wilson plays. Ark wants this bad and they are hurting so will be ready to go and fight. But without Wilson then I don't think it's close.

I think some of you are giving the Hogs defense way to much credit and with Wilson being out the back up Qb is going to make plenty of mistakes. Bama Rolls to a nice win.

Exactly. Their defense got torched by Jax State and ULM. Losing their best corner, Tevin Mitchell, to injury dosen't help matters.

I'd agree but I think there may be some adjustments that have to be made due to Fowler's absence (especially in plays where we relied on his blocking)

I was not impressed with the 35-0 victory against WKU. I will again, keep my expectations low because ARK always plays us tough. This one will be a lot closer than people are expecting with or without Wilson.

The fourth quarter should be the difference.
I think CNS will get the attention of or OL, and AJ should have blocking this week.

I agree that Arky will try to rally and salvage their season by beating us. If I'm them, I try to keep our offense off the field and shorten the game, like WKU did. The problem is, I just don't think they have the defense, either talent or schemes, to beat us. We can beat ourselves, but these guys gave up 24 points to Jax State and 600 yards to ULM. No disrespect to either team, but our offense should do better than either of those teams. If Wilson plays he will complete passes against us. I'll go with Alabama 40-something and Arky in the teens, say 41-17 or so. If Wilson doesn't play then I think our offense is on the field more and the score is worse.

There is absolutely no way to tell how a team will react to something like their losses (multiple) in their game against ULM. They lost a number of key players along with the game. IMO, if Wilson can't go, they will give up as soon as Alabama hits them in the mouth. Wilson was the heart and soul of that team. If he can't play - they are toast. So I'll offer two predictions:

Wilson plays - Alabama 34 - Arkansas 17
Wilson sits - Alabama 48 - Arkansas 6

I actually feel sorry for Wilson. He's taken a beating the past two years and had a concussion last year in a game. Now this one. He's a good leader, a nice guy and terrific QB. He's got an NFL future to think about. Alabama beat him to a pulp last year. Petrino had to pull him from the game in the second half to preserve him for the rest of the year. If by some miracle he starts the game this week Saban is going to rattle him early and knock him out again. It's much to risk for Arkansas. I don't think they're beating Alabama either way so they may as well not play him. There's still the rest of the season left for them.

I agree. Wilson is a tough kid. Bama kept putting him on the ground last year and he kept getting up and trying again. With that being said, I truly hope he doesn't play this weekend. I don't think it changes the outcome one way or the other for Arkansas if he does or does not play and it isn't worth his health.
