Rumph to Texas

I know that coach Sal worked with LBs in his previous tenure here but could he fill this position? He might be able to do DL. Idk if he has a history at that position. We need his intensity back here. But he may have a great thing going at FSU and may not want to leave.

On Bo Davis- he was excellent when he was here. Great recruiter too. I'd love to see him back here.

Didn't that article say that Bo Davis had gone to USC at DE coach?

Re: Rumph to Texas

Bo Davis just accepted the D-Line coaching position at USCw on Thursday. Would be hard to pull him back at this point

Re: Rumph to Texas

Does anyone know if this is going to affect any of the current recruits like D. Hand.

Miller would be one we might could lose. I don't think he would jump ship but he might. Andrew Bone tweeted out a link to the story with Miller's comments on Rumph leaving about 30 min ago. It was a premium article so I didn't link it.

Re: Rumph to Texas

IMO Rumph is no big loss. DL development, especially pass rush was abysmal. I'd love Coach "O"... Whoever we get needs to come up with a way to pressure the QB.

Re: Rumph to Texas

I believe that Da'Shawn Hand, when asked about those ugly pre-Christmas rumors about Saban to Texas, said something to the effect that he would come to Bama regardless of who the coaches were. But, he also said that Saban wasn't going to Texas. :) I think Hand is as solid as they come.

Re: Rumph to Texas

Who is the D. Line coach at LSU? They always seem to be good. If he is good, make him an offer.

If we get Orgeron, we could also hire Houston Nutt as his side kick on the D Line. Any other Fired coaches out there available?

Re: Rumph to Texas

Some questions: Didn't Coach O have some issues with the NCAA? And does anyone think Kiffin had any influence over this choice if Orgeron is hired?

Sunseri was D line at the Carolina Panthers; ends specifically, I think.

DL Coach is Brick Haley. Also in my Google searching, I saw that Bo Davis was hired as the DL coach at USCw. Looks like Sark has put together a very nice staff.

Christian Miller ‏@ChristianMillr 2h
@mekhibrown_10 I know bro..

Christan Miller and 2015 commit Mekhi Brown are sad about Rumph's departure, but there's still plenty of time to keep them onboard.
