As I posted long before the decision, if he listened to dad, he'd be at Bama.... Awburn did two things incorrect in his recruiting: 1) negative recruit Bama and 2) push the star position.

OLB = NFL
And Javier Arenas he ain't. AU didn't have a position in their Def. where he plays. It's Saban's D's bread and butter. Football wise it was a NO BRAINER and he made the right choice for HIM.

This is getting pathetic.

He's retweeting the people mentioning him. Auburn fans are still being absurd. Some are being nice, but some are being ignorant.

It's reaching epidemic level.

"It's getting worse,"
Evans told TideSports.com. "Someone actually put out an article about my family's business telling all Auburn fans not to go there. We are going to eventually start losing money. People are telling restaurants in the town not to serve us."

There's a ton of vitriol being spewed on Twitter and on the "Fambly" message boards toward the Evans. Not only is it pathetic, some of it is borderline psychotic. And Aubies wonder why they are viewed as "cultish"?

Typical barner hypocrisy. If they didn't want him why are they so mad they didn't get him? Apparently, they think it's a good idea to use a scholarship on a player that won't be able to play in their defensive scheme. Idiots!

Just shut it down and let the haters hate Rashaan!!! You'll have plenty of chances to shut their proverbial mouths when you are winning the Iron Bowl, when you're Dancing in Hotlanta, and when you're hoisting the crystal, counting rings, and lastly shaking the NFL's commisioner's hand in NYC.

Don't waist time on Twitter with those twits! You can't rationalize with the irrational. SNASS and ROLL FREAKING TIDE!!!

The tweets are really comical and filled with misspellings, grammatical errors and just plain gibberish. It shows their true colors as a fan base and is nothing new. Every time a player does this, the hate flows.

Lot of Auburn fans are trash, this isn't news.

Roll Tide, Rashaan. Stay strong and see you in June.
x2.

We have fans that are stupid (Updyke, tea-bagger, twitter ppl attacking Cade), but barners don't just heap insults at these kids, they are actually threatening him and wishing injuries upon him. True colors come out in times of adversity and true fans (of any school) don't ever say something like this to any kid.

Social media trolls are one thing, as are the lone nuts, and everyone has those, but boycotts of a business? That's a new one to me.

To be honest, I don't think many 5 star kids playing major D-1 football have family businesses to worry about. Most of those that do are almost always a legacy somewhere and rarely leave home anyway. Peyton is the last big time recruit I can think of that had money that went away from the family legacy. I remember Fred Taylor's son almost went somewhere other than UF, but he stayed home and so did the few who were UT legacies this year.

I'd be curious to see what the boogs would do with all of these "tax evasion" and attending school illegally findings had Rashaan made the wrong decision and actually chosen "The University of Auburn."?

I asked way, way back if folks on the board thought the aubs would take it out on his parent`s business in the event he did join us. It was really meant as idle speculation. Guess it turned out not to be the case !

For rational folks, it was just speculative discussion while in the offseason. For the irrational delusion being spewed on a daily basis on ITAT, it's simply par for the course.

Alan Evans is not happy.

"I'm so glad that where thousands of Auburn fans have thrown my family away and ridiculed and scandalized our name, called us everything but a child of God, thousands of Alabama fans have embraced us and welcomed us to the Capstone," he said. "They have called us and let us know personally that they stand behind Rashaan and his family and awaiting his arrival to the University of Alabama."

Now the Auburn coaching staff is going into damage control. They had Tre Williams do an interview talking about how Auburn signees have faced criticism. He said its part of a rivalry and at the end of the day who cares? He mentioned that he, Stephen Roberts when he flipped (even though most Bama who followed recruiting knew this was going to hapen, Kalvarez Bessent (another expected flip), and Deshaun Davis (a guy who didnt have a Bama offer and we chose Dion Hamilton over him) have received criticism from Bama fans....I'm sure they had Bama fans attacking their parents' workplace and their source of income....I truly feel for these players....
