My initial reaction was that the ill-conceived 1916 borders need to be redrawn to better reflect the sectarian reality. But this article makes some very good arguments against such a solution.

I think that the most bizarre outfit I ever saw was in the Frankfort airport. It was a sheik in a tweed suit jacket, with the traditional Saudi headdress. However, from the waist down, the story diverged. He had a matching tweed skirt, which went down to his ankles, with splits up about 18". Sandals, of course. (I know you were intending a potshot at Kerry, but the dress remark reminded me of the Frankfort incident.)
