8409 - Aerospace Physiology Instructor
9504 - Aviation Water survival Instructor

Always attached to an APTU ( Aerospace physiology training unit).
 
My Dad was career NCO and sent me to Alabama with his retirement pay. Therefore, Go Navy Beat Army. But in reality,my hat is off to every student at each of the Academies. They are the stuff that makes this country great. Love it when they announce areas of study with names like "tactical surface warfare".
 
my grandfather (my dad's dad) was at Pearl Harbor. my dad's side had a long history in the Navy. My mom's family was a mixed bag of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. My dad was Army only because he as color blind.
 
I am 16 going on 17 (years of service). Never been a fan of the black knights, but I guess I gotta support the home team.
 
I am pretty neutral. My dad spent 22 yrs in the Army (WWII and Korea). I spent 20 yrs in the Marine Corps (76-96). I appreciated the Navy driving me around. :smile:
 
As a Navy man who worked for a living (don't call me sir). I do prefer the Midshipmen, but they are still Midshipmen so ... :wink:
 
I didn't see an introduction thread so I'll do it here. I'm a retired Navy Independent Duty Corpsman. I grew up in Alabama and retired to Northern Virginia where my two kids graduated high school and college. My daughter, a new mother, has an MBA and works at a global corporation HQd in Washington DC. My son is a Marine Corps officer.

He was recruited heavy by Annapolis when Paul Johnson was there but took a different route to his commission. I watch the Army Navy game every year but do not root for either.

I'm married and have a crazy dog and crazier cat.

I'm a lifelong Bama fan. RTR

Welcome aboard! I am somewhat confused, however. How can you be a Retired Navy Independent Duty Corpsman, and not pull for Navy? You got some splainin to do, Lucy! :wink:

My Father and two great Uncles were Army men and my Grandfather a Navy man, my Great Grandfather was also an Army man and part of the original 82nd All-American (now Airborne). I too flirted with the Army and Marines but didn't go. If I could go back in life I would have went into the Naval Academy (if I could have gotten in of course). But as for who I root for, it's always Navy because of my Grandfather. He could care less about football though.....lol

I served in the Army in '68, '69 and '70. My recon platoon received air support many times from Navy jets. I love this game and the spirit in which it is played.

Go Army!
 
Most of my family members are either in Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and Air Force. This family takes lot of pride in who we represent and I appreciate everyone. It's great working for the soldiers!

i always expect high emotion and lots of effort in this game. It culminates with both teams singing their alma mater. Ths is the last football game for some of these men who all are under-sized and slower than the rest of the college football world. I watch it for the pageantry, tradition, and tough competition. Regardless of the winner, this game shows the tough build and positive future of this great country, despit the negative comments by some.
