Mitchell does a lot of work with kids when he's off the field - I have a lot of respect for him, FWIW. Very talented receiver. Glad to see him finally graduate this year!

Or he could possibly have gone for legendary Bama sideline reporter Jerry Duncan's take. (paraphrasing) Bama was playing someone that was MUCH bigger on the line than us. Supposedly, Jerry returned to a huddle with blood coming out his nose & with his helmet somewhat sideways. I was wondering what it would have taken for this to be a targeting penalty. Maybe just a couple inches higher up on initial contact?

It was a perfectly clean hit but I was surprised he didn't get flagged. Seems like the referees throw a flag on any hard hit..
