Next week we will find out if 'Bama will be going to the Cotton Bowl. I live in Dallas, and I would love to go to the game.
If someone out there has an extra ticket, I would love to buy it from you, if you are not able to go.

Please email me - if this happens and you have an extra ticket or 2.

Stub hub had been the best from what I've seen

Seriously. Check stubhub and find where the pickup office in Dallas is. Wait until morning of. Purchase tickets for at or below face value. Pick them up on your way. You won't regret it.

How do you know Bama is playing in Dallas? You just gambling on it?

Number 1 goes to the closest venue. Clemson is closer to Miami than it is Dallas. Alabama is closer to Dallas than Miami. As long as Alabama doesn't drop, Alabama's headed to Dallas.

lol!!! I do a lot of reading and everywhere i've read had us going to the Cotton Bowl
CBS, Bleacher Report, ESPN, Fox, Etc
And yes I did gamble...more on that we would win to get in versus the location.
All of the Analyst said they would be suprised if the committe send BAMA to Miami

Need to look into this more -
For example - Section 150 / StubHub has them for $301 but Tickpik has them for $333.
So, maybe the service fee is bundled into the actual cost.

If you live in Dallas, your cheapest option will just be to wait until the day of the game and buy one off of the street for probably face value or less.

Especially if all you need is a single.

I'm pretty sure if Clemson loses and Bama moves to 1 Bama could be in the Orange Bowl if Oklahoma is seeded 4th.

If Bama is #1, we go to Dallas. The #1 team goes to the closest venue, which for us is Dallas. The only scenario that has us playing in Miami is if Oklahoma jumps to #1.

Wylie and UC are correct. Link

Q: How will geography factor in?
A: The selection committee's goal will be to protect the top two seeds from playing in road environments in semifinal games

If OU and Bama are matched up with Bama being the higher seed, the game is in Miami because a game in Dallas would be considered a "road environment."

Right. It's not purely about the closest venue, they wouldn't want the Tide playing a Big 12 team in "enemy territory" of the Cotton Bowl as the higher seed.
