What ever CNS decides is great with me (as if he cares lol) but I really hope we hire Coach Pruitt. Anyone have an idea when we should probably hear something about a new DC? After the playoffs? Before ?
Seems like some of his burned bridges have been rebuilt.Maybe I'm crazy....but my memory tells me that 80% of this board were spewing venom at Pruitt not that long ago....why does everyone seem to want him back?

EJ is a SC boy with excellent relationships with in-state high school coaches. He was instrumental in landing Gilmore and Clowney at USC. He's a good defensive coach who just isn't HC material. He had the rug pulled out from under him at auburn and Muschamp can relate. EJ may coach LBs or he may take more of an advisory role. For what he is being hired to do he's a good hire IMO. His strong ties to SC HS coaches alone is worth the hire (note he is not going to be DC).Muschamp has hired Ellis Johnson as a position coach. The same guy who took a 12-1 Southern Miss team and went 0-12. Then was DC at the barn and hit fired after we hung 55 on them.

I think EJ is a good LB coach....that is about all I would hire him for, but he has been around and is a good LB coach.EJ is a SC boy with excellent relationships with in-state high school coaches. From coachingsearch.com: TCU: Co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Sonny Cumbie tells 247Sports he will remain at TCU, instead of going to Texas.
Hope he can recruit because he certainly cannot coach.EJ is a SC boy with excellent relationships with in-state high school coaches. He was instrumental in landing Gilmore and Clowney at USC. Do spill.Am hearing what I consider to be very excellent things to happen. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed!!!!!!! RTR!!!!
Dabo came to my high school this morning to recruit Bryan Edwards (Conway High). I was lucky enough to get to speak with him for a minute. Very nice guy. He told me that he hopes that its Clemson vs. Bama in the finals. He also said Oklahoma is a very tough match up for them. I also said I wouldn't mind seeing him in crimson in a couple of years. He stopped and said I would like that a lot. He was very nice and signed a bunch of footballs and took pics with several admin and teachers that wanted a pic. RTR.
Saw this on Reddit from a Texas fan explaining why Cumbie did not take the Texas OC job:Wouldn't have believed that a few years ago.
Anwar Richardson reported today what happened between Texas and Sonny Cumbie. Anwar Richardson has been absolutely on top of the entire Texas OC search. And it all boils down to this...
No one at Texas would either guarantee that Charlie Strong would return for 2017 or indicate how many wins it would take for Charlie Strong to retain his job.
Texas met every "demand" or "concession" from Cumbie including Sunday church time, staff choices, family visits in the office, etc... but would not answer any questions about Strong's future. And so he walked... as he should have.
To me this more or less validates what I've been reading for almost a month now which is that Charlie Strong would have been fired immediately after the Baylor game if the Texas administration didn't believe it would reflect so poorly on the University. I think this is a pretty big indication that unless Charlie Strong wins 9+ games next year he is not going to be retained.
It also validates what people have been saying since October which is that Texas either needed to guarantee Charlie Strong 2 more years or fire him because his precarious situation would make it difficult to land assistants.
Yea nice hire.Ohio State is replacing DC Chris Ash (went to Rutgers as HC) with Greg Schiano. Big get for Ohio State.
