Great, great win. Was pretty sure a good, running qb was going to give us fits. He did, but the d contained him at least as well as anyone else this year, and we won. Thanks to Coach Smart for your service and dedication to the University these years. Thanks also to the seniors and departing underclassmen for a fantastic ride you provided the team and your fanbase.
Of course "Bama fatigue" now has kicked up another notch, so don't expect a lot of love from the media.
In winning the championship, I have extended the "24 hr rule" to 48.

What a game !!!!! I live upnorth in Quebec city. People here are Notre Dame fans because of the catholic thing. But believe me, with this game, I won't be the only french canadian cheering for Alabama anymore !

7 of the last 9 college football champions have been coached by either Nick Saban or Urban Meyer. Wow..

I've been a Bama fan a long time...when Coach Saban was hired, if you would have told me that we would win a national title within 7 years, I would have been fine with that, considering what we'd just come out of, I'd have been ecstatic. But to win 4 in 7 years...I'm still shaking my head in wonder. I truly hope that everyone can see the magnitude of what Coach Saban has brought to us...I'm so grateful for what we've gotten to experience. Its almost unbelievable...almost. I'm happy for the players and coaches, but I sure am happy for all of us too.

Not only that, but the only QB we had for two years was AJ...

Wow! What a game. One of the most fickle-natured, momentum-changing ones that I've ever seen. Never thought we would have to resort to trickery to help us win, but I think most of us vastly underestimated this Clemson team, myself included. In the fourth quarter, a TRUE champion finds a way to win and our team did just that. Congrats to all the players and the coaches. RTR

The fans did. I don't think our coaching staff did...

Your post says it well. We are often accused of feeling entitled but thinking Bama fans know how special this is and appreciate it for the amount of work it takes. If for one moment anyone forgot, that game last night served to remind what it takes. Great team effort and determination.

Yeah, I certainly did. I couldn't see them slashing through this defense like that, but I tip my hat to them.

Back in 2005, when that USC v Texas game happened, as I watched it I thought to myself I sure wish Alabama could be a part of something like this again. Back then, I didn't think we ever would. This is a history book game, and we won it.
