UPDATE, 3:35 P.M.: Les Miles is out as football coach at LSU, and so is his offensive coordinator.Multiple sources told The Advocate that Miles and Cam Cameron were fired Sunday, a day after LSU, ranked No. 5 in the preseason Top 25, fell to 2-2 with an 18-13 loss at Auburn. It's the worst start to a season since Miles took over in 2005.
Defensive line coach Ed Orgeron will be LSU’s interim coach. The decision to oust Cameron and Miles was made Sunday afternoon in a discussion involving LSU athletic director Joe Alleva, school president F. King Alexander and other university leaders.

He has always been able to get players to play hard for him, so they may actually be better - for a while.

And Coach YawYaw becomes the HC. Man, I hope he becomes the official one when the season is over. Dude is a great interim coach but laughable at best when he officially gets the reins.

Just heard it during the pro game. Mid-season firings are counterproductive. Les's time was up there but they should have waited until the end of the year.

I just can't understand why he refused to fire Cameron after last season. It could have saved his job.

What is surprising is the play he will be tied to upon his firing. Game over, LSU wins........oh wait a second.

This was Tuberville 2.0. The LSU admin so bungled his buyout last that that even people that wanted him fired came to his defense. Psychology. Once that bunch came back to the their senses, it was just a matter of time. Too much money and power at these schools to prevent them from not getting their way. Miles did, and is why he is fired 3 weeks into the season. He was in reality fired last year.
