Shannon Sharpe Praises Coach Saban In Debate With Skip Bayless

Watched a Foxsports segment today.
The question was, "Who is the greatest college coach in America"?
Matt Leinart said, "Nick Saban"
Skip Bayless called him "Over rated" and said both Urban Meyer and Jim Harbaugh were better coaches.
Shannon Sharpe then stepped in, looked at Bayless and said,
"There is not one AD in America who wouldn't fire their head coach to hire Nick Saban".
I don't know if I'd go that far but I learned three things from watching.
(1) Shannon Sharpe is a big Nick Saban fan. (I had no idea)
(2) Matt Leinhart is actually pretty smart and objective.
(3) Skip Bayless is a nut.

Hey Skip being "Overrated" doesn't account for all those NC Rings has in his collection..You just can't argue against stupid & that's exactly the one word that best describes Skip Brainless..

No offense, but clicking that link to watch Bayless is like rubbing poison ivy on your junk.....
 
Every time USC has had an opening for HC since CNS was hired in 2007, my dad has always asked me, "Is Saban available?" Shannon Sharpe's statement is more than 100% truth.
 
And when they went to commercial, Skip and the whole crew busted out laughing. "How was that , guys? Was it believable? I bet we got a lot of views and clicks for that one. hahahahahahah"

Wow. I know ESPN talking heads get paid to say stupid stuff, to pander to the half of America that is sick and tired of Alabama and Nick Saban, but over-rated? (Bayless seems like a likely candidate to saying dumb things).
Wow.
 
The knock on Saban has been that the game passed him by, and that he refused to adapt.
He's adapted.
When he hangs it up, we may be north of 20 national championships.
 
If you haven't caught that skip Bayless doesn't have real opinions that are his own by now, then this should show you that.

Everyone uses Bayless as a heel because he is great at it. Finebaum used to be that way ( to a degree he still is), but finebaum likes the role as a TTC moderator over a talk show host. Skip likes the latter and so he is forced to like who the studio tells him to which is usually the underdog or the next closest to the big dog.
