I'm sitting for a moment with a glass of wine, after unloading the impulse buys from Costco, etc. My wife had spinal surgery two weeks ago and can't bend nor twist, so a lot of what she normally does falls to me now. Keeps me busy...

Been there, and we are both still in our 60s.

I try my best to continue on, even though she claims that she is healed, as it was over a year ago. She must have been clairvoyant, or why else would she have married me? (Still trying to figure that one out. Sure wasn't for my good looks or magnetic personality.)

(I also know about the crazy driving. Almost had 2, last Sunday, about 100 feet from each other. One going..............one on the way back. Must be contagious.)

She's three years younger. She's been pushing through the leg pain and numbness for several years, with injections lately, basically to get her back on her feet and up to the surgery. She has one stainless disk replacement and two 16mm Ti reinforcing rods. The leg pain was gone immediately after surgery. Now, it's just a matter of recovery from all of the butchery done in there...
