You guys are buying the hype. A team that struggled with indiana then was shut down hard by a big 12 defence - tOSU, I would argue isnt that great. OSU D was spent late then got burned. Sure okie looked good last year everyone was buying the hype like this thread is today. Then they played Dabo and got exposed themselves. If okie was so great why did it take them to the fourth to do much.

Didn't watch the game. However, Urban has dropped the ball. He has a good deal more talent that Oklahoma has. I thought he dropped the ball in last years playoff game as well. Seriously, he may be feeling ill again.

Just as a win is a win, a loss is a loss. Not much to take away from the game other than the huge gap between our QB and theirs. I would tip my cap to them for the win but for the classless act after the game. We won with class in their house. They act like children in our house. SMH

Somehow, Baker Mayfield cannot help himself. He's a very entitled individual in my book.

If Urban can right the ship, they could earn a shot to play Oklahoma again, I wouldn't wanna be Baker in that game..

Gotta give Lincoln Riley credit cause Oklahoma is playing some good football..

So he apparently did this because OSU sang their fight song on the field after their win last year, something literally all teams do. He's petty and small minded and I stand by my prediction that they drop a game to a big underdog.

I saw about 1/2 the game last night after shelving for the night having left our manhandling of Fresno. (In the name of honesty - for the first time - I left early, but I did so because I'm very susceptible to heat exhaustion and began feeling the dizzy spells from sitting right under the sun at halftime; I left before I hurled on somebody and needed a medic).

Yes, OU did look pretty good - but once again we see the typical talking head nonsense of college football circular arguments render its ugly head.

SI: Big 12 Makes Playoff Statement

Now does anyone with a brain really think that if, say, Iowa State had just beaten Ohio State that this headline would be out there? Of course not, the story would be about how Ohio State has many problems and is overrated.

The Big 12 is NOT back at all - Oklahoma might be a contender, maybe possibly perhaps.....but the Big 12 is not back. Kansas lost again (as always), Iowa State once again played tough and lost the Cy-Hawk rivalry and Baylor, a team that won consecutive Big 12 titles just three years ago, lost to UTSA. Texas already got dusted by Maryland, so Oklahoma is essentially playing like the ole Big Eight in a two-team conference at best - them and the Cowpokes.

Furthermore, what if Ohio State now loses to Penn State AND Michigan State AND Michigan? What if the Buckeyes aren't as good as the hype?

This is what sickens me about coverage of college football........the story all depends on something your school did fifty years ago or twenty years ago. Since OU is a blue blood and so is Ohio State, therefore, the win has to be hyped in the conference favor.

Let me reiterate: OU played very well and deserved to win and yes deserves a high ranking based on what we know at this point......but the conference as a whole is still to be evaluated.

Sorry for your loss B1GTide. I don't think this loss knocks you out of the playoffs. It's a long season and Urban is too good not to right the ship.

With all due respect to B1G, it's going to be tough for tOSU to take down PSU and UM wth Barrett at QB unless he makes dramatic improvement. I think you are correct when you said he isn't the same QB post broken leg. He really looks tentative when throwing and deciding whether or not to run. Are there any plans to work in his backup? You do get PSU in Columbus, but so far they appear to be a more complete team than "that team up North". Still in the hunt, but no margin for error.

Ohio St. made Oklahoma mad last year, they paid for it this year with a serious butt whipping.
Yes, Ohio State - win or LOSE (big difference) - sings the alma mater wherever.....that, of course, justifies Baker May "leave the"field "with an injury after Alabama hits him" acting like a sophomoric jerk.

I totally get that nonsensical line of reasoning.
