Glad I don't live there to have to deal with the lunacy.

However, I'm seeing some incredible assertions and deep ignorance flowing from their blind hatred of Bama on Facebook the last few days.

What's the craziest thing you've heard a Barner say since Sunday???

I have heard nothing, but that is normal. They all scurried back into their holes once they lost to UGA and we made CFP. Typical aubs, all mouth after IB and now not a peep. Have not even seen anyone out in tiger shirts or hats since UGA loss. Again typical of aubs. For many years I wore my bama gear as always, even when tubbs was killing us. One aub asked me how I could wear Bama shirt after likt the 5th or 6th loss to them. I said cause we still lead the series and we will be back. BUT mainly cause I back my team win or lose. Unlike aubs who only come out after wins. She frowned at me, I laughed and left the store. She was the cashier. Real good customer relations for that store LOL.

On Monday I asked an AU Alum how they felt about the $49M contract for Gus and got "He has done better in his first 6 years than Saban did so you could make the argument Gus is the better coach".....

Must be a sports history major at auburn bahahahahahaha

Why would we hear anything from them? We were their championship! They don't need anything else. They beat us and that is plenty. Gus Bus got him an extension and a raise and the Barners are happy happy happy. They will wear them 2017 Iron Bowl Champion shirts with the little score on it and some clever saying and be just fine. That's the difference folks.

I did here a guy at walmart with a full buggy of toilet paper asking where the returns department was . :biggrin2:

AU in a nutshell... Nothing else needs to be said.

This is exactly what I was thinking when I saw them pour Gatoraid over Gus and rush the field. That pretty much says it all about where they’ve set the bar. Beat Bama once every 3 or 4 years and get a nice fat contract.

This is why the SECCG and Playoff presents them with real issues. They spent all they had on beating us. Nothing left to make a title run.

The fact is that it doesn't matter. The only thing that does matter to an Au fan is a win over Alabama. They don't really expect to win National Championships.

I heard a guy that thought the officiating favored Georgia.

And the more Auburn fans I run into (over here in Louisiana) the more I'm starting to believe this is actually true. Though there aren't multitudes of them here, there are quite a few Auburn fans in my area. Most of them I talk to do not have the expectation level of the average Alabama fan.

With good reason, we have won more Titles in 9 years than they have in their entire 100 plus year history. That tends to tamp down expectations.

Phillip Marshall wrote an article justifying the loss in the SECCG.
he stated that auburn was physically and emotionally done by the time they reach Atlanta.
citing auburn's taxing schedule of playing UGA, Bama , and then UGA again in a short time was just too much.
of course he never mentioned how difficult it is to beat the same team 2x esp. in a short time span.
furthermore , he wouldn't state the fact that good ole Gus and auburn are 0-8 vs. BAMA/LSU/UGA away from Jordan Hare. :rolleye2:

some of what he wrote made sense and I agree somewhat. BUT , here's my issue with his article.

Bama plays LSU, Mississippi St. Mercer and Auburn in 4 consecutive weeks this year. Bama pretty much has the same line up in most years with the exception of Mercer which we replaced with another cupcake before the Iron Bowl. for the last 3 years, Bama prior to 2017, Bama played LSU, MSU, cupcake, and AU and then Florida ( 2015, 2016) and Missouri ( 2014).
you can't tell me that schedule isn't physical ?? everyone and their mothers know that the LSU/Bama game is war every single year since Saban became Bama HC. after getting beat up from a very physical game, our boys injured or healthy has to faced a Miss St team that is usually big, physical esp. in the trenches. then we get a break with a cupcake team just like Auburn does before the IB.

do you hear Bama making excuses?? Bama players know the gauntlet very well and are usually ready for the challenge every year that we make it to the SECCG.

the issue with Auburn in Atlanta was that they thought they would strolled in the dome and do the exact same thing to UGA as they did the first time they played and walk out with a win. big mistake.

Gus had no Plan B when their best offensive weapon ( KJ) was not 100%. he is so stubborn to a fault and the offense suffered when UGA came in with a different and effective defensive game plan. same goes for Steele who had no answer for UGA offense that seemed to do whatever they wanted.

BUT Marshall wants to put the blame on the schedule. ok whatever...

"You're in luck. The ice cream machine is working today. That'll be $1.08. Please drive around to the second window."

The ice cream machine is ALWAYS broke.
