Will Tua see time against UGA ?

There were pregame reports of Tua possibly seeing some playing time against Clemson last night. While it never came to fruition, Jalen again was very pedestrian and made a bad mistake on the opening play of the second half that we were fortunate enough not to give up any more points than we did. If Jalen starts struggling against Georgia where they score points and we need the offensive production, will Tua see playing time ? More than anything, I don't want Tua transferring.

I just don't see it happening, and I'm a Tua fan in the sense that I would prefer a quarterback who distributes the ball to people who are bigger, faster, and farther down the field than he is.

Not unless it's mop-up time. If we were ever going to put Tua in because of Jalen's poor play, it would have happened last night. We'll either win it or lose it with Jalen in there. What does that mean for Tua? It means that he's going to be playing backup for two more years before he has his opportunity as a senior... if you believe that will materialize.

Don't think he will play against the u of athens. I am a Tua fan, but I don't see him playing (other than a small amount of clean up duties) over the next two years. I believe last night's game was very telling. We had a 24-6 lead starting the last quarter and he did not get in the game, even though Clemson had no chance of scoring against our D. I don't see any QB competition in the spring. Jalen is our QB for the next two years regardless. Jalen was at the right place at the right time and Saban has shown he will not change QB's. I see Tua transferring to a team that will use his talent.

I would assume not. It probably depends on how real the rumors were about Tua playing in this game. If they were just rumors then I would say no way. If the rumors were accurate and Tua was going to play if needed then I see no reason why last night would have changed that. But, I would bet on us not seeing Tua.

If we get up by 2-3 TDs, I'm sure we will see Tua.

But seriously, on the real ... let's not keep trying to rush Tua. Let the young man take his time right now to learn AND grow. He will play when his time comes.

I really wanted to see Tua, even if it was the last 2 minutes of the game. Our offense did not look great.. yes, Clemson's defense is legit, but our offense (passing game especially) with only 120 passing yards like last night, will not beat UGA next week.

I have read articles that Tua is okay with learning the system this year. I hope he stays. If he transfers, and we don't sign any decent QB in this class, we will be in a bind. That would also mean his brother would probably not sign with Bama either.

With the heat Clemson was bringing I didn’t think Tua would get in last night unless we scored 31. Y’all are a tough bunch but i do feel that the competition will be real in the spring.

We played what many called the best D-line in college football. Was Jalen perfect or even above average? No, but he did take home the offensive MVP. I pray we see Tua against UGA. That would mean we are up 30 with time to spare!!

We were up 18 points last night for the final 20 minutes of the game and never saw him. The last I checked, 2-3 TD's equals 14-21 points (including PAT's)... so what do you believe will change next week?

I don't think we will see Tua next week unless it is a blowout either way. I do believe we will see a QB competition in the spring. Tua will get his chance and if he wins the job CNS will give it to him. I can even see us running a 2 QB system next year. RTR

I don't believe we'll see him split any time until next season. I'm sure more wrinkles will be added for him then but I don't see it now.

The disrespect to Hurts constantly shown on this forum is astounding. He's lead us to the title game two years in a row in his two years of playing. Stop staring at that new young grass on the other side of the fence & freaking enjoy this pretty damn delicious grass right here at your feet.

I'm more interested in all of our RBs getting the right reps against UGA rather than Tua.

Yep. I do wonder what Jacobs can do if he's healthy. Najee Harris looked very good when he got in the game. Alabama and Georgia have the best group of running backs in the nation. It will be fun to watch.

I will say I'm happy that DH had 19 carries last night. What happened to him late in the year as far as his carries load was a travesty IMO.

This is untrue. If there is any team we can beat this way, it's Georgia, who are no better themselves on the offensive side of the ball and not nearly as stacked defensively as we are, even with our injuries.
