I have an acquaintance (not a friend) who is an auburn fan full of conspiracies. I reminded him yesterday that it wasn't all that long ago that auburn interviewed Kirby Smart. I understand Kirby is not in the best standing with a lot of bama fans but I think it is clear they offered the wrong man the HC job back in 12 or 13.

Wonder if there`s a single poster on ITAT that made positive mention of our guy sitting on the ground, cradling Ryan Davis`s head in his arms and calling for help after the targeting hit? Silly me.....of course not. That would probably get them banned.

The only reason a top named coach would come to Auburn right now is for the money. The SEC West has Saban and Jimbo (who recently would have been considered a top 5 coach), and LSU doesn't seem to be moving out of Auburn's way anytime soon. Oh yeah, and there's Georgia who they have to play every year.

So, for instance if I am to compare Auburn with Clemson, Clemson is like Auburn but without getting beaten up by great teams every year. Honestly it isn't like Gus' Auburn team was that bad this year. They beat Washington, which has been one of the west coast's best teams for several years now. They beat Texas A&M (which put quite a scare in Clemson). The LSU game was close. Really they had one really bad loss, that was the Tennessee one.

the loss last weekend where they rolled over and gave up at the end of the first half was pretty bad.

I hate to break it to some of you Bama fans, but if the barn made an offer good enough to his liking, I think Dabo would leave Barn with a Lake for the Barn in a New York minute.
I give it about a 0% chance, as I assume Clempson would counter the AU offer.

Why anyone thinks Dabo would want to leave the relative ease of the ACC (where he can make the playoffs each year playing a schedule that at least three or four SEC teams would go undefeated playing) to come to the most competitive division in all of CFB is beyond me.

Especially if knowing that:
1- he'd be going head-to-head with CNS not only on the field, but off the field, and
2- he'd essentially remove any chance he currently has of ever becoming HC at Alabama.

Like I said, I think there's about a 0% chance.

I agree. The only reason I see Dabo leaving Clemson might be to come to Bama after Nick retires. And I think that is not likely. Right now he casts his own shadow at Clemson. Why come to Bama and walk in the shadows of Bryant and Saban?

This would be the easiest way to cement the #NeverDabo segment of the fanbase.

Put Auburn in the ACC in place of Clemson and they would probably be in the championship game. I think at worse they would be 9-3.

They will play just well enough to end our 20 point margin win streak and claim a moral victory...
Bama 29
Auburn 10
Just went over to bleacher report. According to their latest blog post, Tua is still behind KM in the race despite his phenomenal showing today. Of course, they just quoted stats, like total passing yds and rushing yards and failed to add any context.

You seem to have quite the pessimistic and/or contrarian outlook on things Alabama or Auburn related.

Here's the reality...

Auburn did not stop our 20 point win margin streak nor did they hold us under 30 points.

Tua IS STILL leading the Heisman race according to Vegas at -500 (last week he was -400) and he WILL WIN IT.

Dabo will NEVER be the HC at Auburn. Setting aside the fact that he has it made at Clemson.... he HATES Auburn.

Unless he failed significantly at AU and then continued the dynasty at Alabama
I see your blue font and raise you some blue font:

This would be the REC's greatest troll job ever. Dabo signs a 10 year deal, Dabo intentionally leads them to 0-8 in the SEC every year, and then in about 10 years Mamma calls and he comes to Bama to continue the dynasty. Git r' dun REC!

Here is a quote from aufamily that I thought was hilarious.

Here's the "tin-foil hat" position.

His success at ...... is so beyond the scope of anything that anybody (including bahr) has ever done then he's either cheating......or is an alien being from the planet Football Geniuses Sector 1.

You have a better chance proving he is an alien than he is cheating.

Dabo going to Clemson would not be a negative for Alabama. However yes I admit I am at times a contrarian and like to challenge conventional thinking and opinion. Youve been around here for a while, you should know that by now😉

Auburn signs him to a guaranteed $100million contract, then fires him Alabama hires him for $1 a year. Auburn pays Dabo $100m to coach Alabama for 10 years
