Gosh, take it down a notch - unlike Bama-Clemson, this game literally means nothing. NOTHING. It's literally meaningless...

Tell the UGA players and the Texas players it means nothing and see what they say to you. Maybe you never played football...but if you did you would have never have said this. Tell all the recruits from both teams it means nothing and see their response. Tell all the fans it means nothing and see their response...and the coaches...etc. etc. etc. about as dumb a thing as i've seen on here and i've been reading for years... #comeonman

These games are difficult to analyze. The conclusion I draw is Texas was motivated by the game and the Dawgs by Bourbon Street.

I have always wondered why fans would chant "overrated" when beating a highly ranked opponent. Doesn't it suggest that your team hasn't really accomplished anything by beating that team?

Is Texas really this good or UGA really this bad?

To me, it doesn't look like Georgia came in with a legitimate gameplan, Fromm wasn't playing well enough to stop Texas from selling out against the run, Ehlinger is having a really good night, and Georgia can't tackle tonight to save their lives.

Truthfully, You have three weeks of bowl practice . It’s almost like spring ball, especially with early enrollees already participating now. If you are not playing a truthfully meaningful game, 2 weeks of that practice is dedicated to making the younger players better, the last week is for game practice. Some schools like Texas, Utah, OU 2013, etc are trying to end the year on a high note and they are putting extra time in for this game. That’s why some teams are more prepared!

I think the only bowl that really means something outside of the playoff games is the Rose Bowl. There is no real cultural connections between the SEC and Big XII. The SEC thinks of National Championships the Big XII thinks of Big Bowl Wins. When you get an SEC team that is disappointed of how Selection Sunday ended then you can take it to the bank that they are going to be a few steps slower than what they are truly capable of.
